Steffy’s been living the single life on The Bold and the Beautiful as of late (that kiss with Liam being a rare exception). That’s all about to change today when viewers meet her handsome new doctor, John “Finn” Finnegan, played by Tanner Novlan.
Novlan’s known to TV viewers not only for dramatic programs but also for the popular commercial for Liberty Mutual Insurance in which he plays an actor who can’t seem to remember his lines!
In real-life, the BB newcomer is wed to Kayla Ewell (ex-Caitlin), who played Thomas’s (then, Drew Bell; now, Matthew Atkinson) love interest.
Novlan shot a promotional video inviting fans to check out his first day on the show — today! He hasn’t even aired yet, but the performer has already won over some fans. “You were born to be a soap hunk with that voice and devastating good looks!” follower @bjtripp2 posted. Check out Novlan’s post below.
No word yet on what conflict might exist between Steffy and Finn. She’s going to have to get better first! Interestingly, the couple’s already been given a handle combining both of their names — #Sinn. With a provocative nickname like that, how can this pair not be a hit?
BB debuted on March 23, 1987. The show was created by the late William J. Bell and Lee Phillip Bell. Families in the show’s first episode — the Forresters, the Logans, and the Spencers — remain in the forefront today. The show counts two original cast members, John McCook (Eric) and Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke), still on the show today.
While BB added glitz and glamour to soaps with its lavishly produced fashion shows, the sudser has also tackled several social issues over the years including breast cancer, HIV/AIDS, alcoholism, diabetes, homelessness, and child abuse. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
