Both Katherine Kelly Lang and her character on The Bold and the Beautiful, Brooke Logan Forrester, epitomize the beautiful California girl. So, Lang was a perfect choice when producers of a commercial for a soda pop were looking to cast a pretty blonde to go rollerskating through the woods in a soft drink ad.
Katherine Kelly Lang: Dr. Pepper Girl
It’s unclear what the exact year was when this commercial was produced, but the headband Lang is sporting in the televised ad calls to mind Olivia Newton-John’s look in the 1981 music video Physical! The story borrows a bit from the tale of Little Red Riding Hood as Lang’s character comes upon a wolf.
She tries to placate the wolf buy offering him goodies that she was bringing to Grandma. The first few don’t seem to do the trick, but then, the devoted granddaughter takes out of her basket what she was saving for herself. Lang’s roller-staking character offers up a sugar-free Dr. Pepper to the wolf, who guzzles it down with gusto. Not only does it quench his thirst, but it turns him into a human guy!
Unlike soap stories that never seem to end, this commercial shows Lang and the former wolf skating off to Grandma’s together. @5thejay posted the commercial on Twitter. Lang chimed in with “Lol!!!”
It may be a while before Brooke feels happy again on BB. Her true love Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) has apparently gone off and eloped with Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards). We’re guessing that Shauna’s not going to let her groom go without a fight, given her feelings for him. Ridge was not happy with Brooke when she had a moment of weakness and shared a kiss with Bill (Don Diamont).
But, now, Ridge has gone off and gotten married! Can Brooke forgive Ridge? Stay tuned to find out! And check out Lang’s commercial below! The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
