Karla Mosley The Bold and the Beautiful
Contrary to cynical myth, actors actually can be happy for one another when someone lands a big gig. Karla Mosley, who plays Maya on The Bold and the Beautiful, and Gina Rodriguez, who appeared on the show as Beverly, weren’t on the show at the same time, but Mosley is thrilled over the BB alumna’s recent news.
“I opened up IG [Instagram] today and scrolled through success after success after success!!!” Mosley shared on her own social media account. “These pics feature some major, big kid highlights: the incredible/whimsical/deep @pinchecubria is making a film with the brilliant @karlasouza and Gina Rodriguez.
“And 3 friends,” Mosley continues, “@jillknoxpowell @bykeithpowell and @parvey are starring in the new NBC Peacock jam @nbcconnecting (sorry people on the bottom@of the poster, I’m sure you’re great, too. It wouldn’t fit.)
“@saramayerfried wrote/produced/starred in a short film that is touring 6 festivals currently!” Mosley adds. “@rodneyhickshere has a film being released for streaming. @alldaynicco is killing it on @pvalleystarz. @em.weinstein just had a huge win for her short @outfest and is now an Academy Award qualifier! And so so so many more.”
Mosley finds all this great news inspiring. “We must keep doing our work,” she implores. “Whatever it is. Whatever keeps you up at night or drives you out of bed in the morning. Listen. Trust. Show Up. Repeat. Congratulations. Thank you. Shine on. My heart is so full. 💫”
Mosley joined BB back in early 2013. Viewers learned that her character, Maya Avant, was born Myron Avant and was transgender. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
