Daytime fans have been rooting for Katherine Kelly Lang and her on-screen persona Brooke Logan Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful for over 30 years! And today, fans have even more reason to cheer for the talented actress!
Today is Lang’s birthday and she is making some birthday wishes!
The Emmy-nominated actress is one of B&B’s original cast members. She premiered in B&B’s first episode; her character, Brooke, had fended off attackers who tried to pull her into a van.
Lang is a native of Hollywood, Calif. and graduated from Beverly Hills High School.
Lang’s not the only celebrity in her family. The actress’ late father was Keith R. Wegeman, an Olympic ski jumper, who went on to appear in commercials for frozen vegetables as The Jolly Green Giant!
The actress’ maternal grandfather was Academy Award-winning cinematographer Charles Lang.
Lang’s the mother of three children: two sons, Jeremy (ex-little Eric, B&B), Julian, and a daughter, Zoe.
Earlier this year, Lang became a grandmother — or “glam-ma” — when Zoe gave birth to a baby girl named Zuma.
Prior to joining B&B, Lang played the recurring role of Gretchen on The Young and the Restless.
Lang crossed Brooke over to Y&R in 1999, appearing as Brooke in scenes with Eric Braeden (Victor) and Peter Bergman (Jack).
Lang has been nominated as an actress for playing Brooke at the Daytime Emmys, but she became a Daytime Emmy winner as a producer for Venice.
Soap Hub joins Lang’s fans and friends in wishing the actress a happy birthday!
