Shay Flake, the wife of Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter), recently dropped by the Television City studios, home to BB, in order to double for Zoe (Kiara Barnes), Carter’s fiancée, when the two characters shared a smooch as The Bold and the Beautiful continues with COVID-19 protocols.
Lawrence Saint-Victor: Keeping It In The Family
Saint-Victor and Flake were interviewed by Inside Edition about her stepping in as Zoe. “Thank you @insideedition for the great talk!!!” Saint-Victor posted. “Our team here @boldandbeautifulcbs worked really hard to come back and come back safely. Thanks to all the spouses who jumped in to help tell our story. 💙💙💙💙 #boldandbeautiful #lovestory.”
Asked if kissing his wife on-camera was difficult and how it differed from a real-life kiss, Saint-Victor replied: “The kiss was easy,” he says. “Everything before then was difficult.”
“You know what? Not really,” Flake responded when asked if she ever imagined that she’d be paid by a TV show to kiss her husband. “I never thought that that would happen.” Lawrence Saint-Victor and Flake have been wed for 13 years. They share a son, Christian, 2.
As BB viewers saw last week, Carter and Zoe locked lips after she accepted his marriage proposal. But Carter’s so blissfully happy he could be being blind to the fact that there are some sparks between Zoe and his pal Zende (Delon de Metz).
While Zoe may be a bit torn, she clearly has strong feelings for Carter. After his romantic proposal to her, how could she not?
Time will tell if Zoe remains committed to Carter, who has stood by her as she’s worked hard to win people’s trust following her role in baby Beth being kept from her parents, Hope (Annika Noelle) and Liam (Scott Clifton) or if her attraction to Zende will cause her to rethink her decision. Stay tuned to find out! The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
