It’s the end of the line for Maya Avant Forrester. Karla Mosley announced the news on Instagram, noting that she was “bidding a fond farewell” to the groundbreaking daytime character she originated in 2013.
Sadly, there will be no special sendoff or goodbye for Maya. Mosley, in fact, taped her last episode over a year ago and last aired on May 30, 2019.
Dick Christie is set to pop back in as Charlie Webber. The long-missing Forrester Creations’ security guard and Pam’s (Alley Mills) boyfriend will appear on Tuesday, October 20.
BB made its debut in 1987 and introduced glitz and glamour to daytime soap operas. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, three decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.
From Stephanie’s (Susan Flannery) iron grip on her family to Sheila’s (Kimberlin Brown) evil schemes to the epic love story of Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), BB knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting and daytime soap operas are shrinking.
It is one of four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), Days of our Lives (DAYS), and The Young and the Restless (YR). BB airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for air times.
