Following a social media post and on-screen dialogue that revealed that Xander Avant had returned to his native England, many assumed that performer Adain Bradley had been dismissed from his role on The Bold and the Beautiful. However, a spokesperson for the soap is clarifying the issue.
In a recent issue of Soap Opera Digest, Bradley has not been let go but is now on recurring status.
The actor himself gave rise to the theory that he was no longer associated with the CBS sudser when he took to Instagram and shared a post that read in part, “I ain’t got no job, what the hell should I do today???”
Later, Bradley released a second post where he clarified the issue writing, “I haven’t been fired. I still am very happy to be working @boldandbeautifulcbs just not working today.”
He went on to thank his fans for their support of him, his character, and the recent storyline of which he was a part. He concluded his post with the promise that, “Xander will return.”
Bradley first joined the lone half-hour daytime drama on June 12, 2018, and was eventually revealed to be a member of the Avant family.
The character was initially paired opposite Nia Sioux’s Emma Barber before he succumbed to the charms of an ex-girlfriend who had followed him from their hometown and spent weeks harassing him and his new lady love.
Subsequently, Xander became embroiled in the saga that was baby Beth’s faked death and adoption by new mommy Steffy Forrester.
In the aftermath of the plot, Emma met her maker and since Xander and girlfriend Zoe had become estranged and his family had long since ceased appearing before the camera, the sole remaining Avant found himself untethered to the canvas and wanting for story. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
