Soap opera stories either crawl or fly by, meaning that sometimes we have to miss big developments. Never fear, Soap Hub is here to fill you in on what you missed last week on The Bold and the Beautiful.
Thomas “Machiavelli” Forrester
Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) decided to disregard Hope’s (Annika Noelle) declaration of love for her husband, and instead launched another scheme to ensnare her into choosing a life with him and Douglas.
To that end, he forged a letter in Caroline’s hand…claiming that should she ever pass, she hoped there was a woman out there who would take her place as mother to her child.
He showed the letter to Hope, who deemed it a sign: The letter was meant for her, and she decided she must honor Caroline’s wishes.
Arriving back at the home that she shares with Liam (Scott Clifton), Hope told her husband she had a revelation.
She explained that she will never again be able to bear him a child…and since he already has a child with Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) — and since she has bonded so closely with Douglas — they should just end their marriage.
A heartbroken Liam tried to convince Hope she was wrong, but Hope told him that she was just too broken. The loss of their daughter has left a gaping wound in their relationship, and it will never heal.

He explained that he wanted to be upfront and honest with her about Flo. Yes, they have kissed, and yes, they have agreed to start dating. Sally understood, and the two former lovers parted on friendly terms.
Steffy’s Back
Steffy and her daughters arrived back home from Paris, and Liam was there to greet them and spend some quality family time. He also took the opportunity to explain Hope’s decision to end their marriage.
Steffy was shocked, offering to speak to Hope on Liam’s behalf, but he told her not to bother. She told Liam that no matter what happens, he will always be welcomed into her house. After all, it’s also his home.
Battle Lines
Liam personally delivered Hope’s decision to Thomas, warning the schemer that he has his number.
He may have won the battle by preying on Hope’s insecurities and desperate wish to become a mother, but Liam knows that it is a hollow victory: Hope will never love Thomas.
