Soap opera stories either crawl or fly by, meaning that sometimes we have to miss big developments. Never fear, Soap Hub is here to fill you in on what you missed last week on The Bold and the Beautiful.
Unwanted Advances
Hope (Annika Noelle) might have agreed to move their wedding date up but she still wasn’t comfortable with the idea of being intimate with Thomas (Matthew Atkinson). He tried to push her into having sex and insisted on kissing her when she clearly wasn’t receptive.
Turned off by Thomas’ advances, Hope had a brief moment of clarity. She even wondered allowed if marrying him was the right thing to do. However, the ever-scheming Thomas was able to smooth over his lecherous ways and Hope agreed to go through with the wedding.
A Declaration of Doubt
Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) made a beeline for her daughter’s home the second she heard about the accelerated ceremony. She implored Hope to reconsider her actions as it was plain to see that Hope didn’t have feelings for Thomas.
Near a breaking point, Hope admitted that she harbored doubt about her actions. However, she said that she will push through them as being a mother to Thomas is now the most important thing in her life.
A Difference of Opinion
The situation with their children escalated the tension between Brooke and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye). Ridge demanded to know why his wife had such a low opinion about the upcoming union. Brooke revealed that she doesn’t trust Thomas’s motives and feels that he is taking advantage of Hope’s grief for his own selfish reasons.
Last Ditch Efforts
On the day of the wedding, as Hope readied herself, she was visited by her mother and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). Brooke made one last effort to persuade Hope to reconsider her decision. And Steffy pointed out that Hope could be there for Douglas without having to marry his father.
Out Of The Mouths Of Babes
Hope was not deterred and the ceremony commenced. But, when it came time to say, “I Do,” she was stopped dead in her tracks.
Phoebe, who had been cooing at the bride’s feet suddenly looked up and uttered the word Hope had longed to hear from her baby girl: Mama! The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
