The Bold and the Beautiful recap for March 9-13, 2020, features most of the characters returning to form – for better or for worse.
Everything old is new again on BB. Hope (Annika Noelle), Liam (Scott Clifton) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) are once again a harmonious trio – remember when they were all lovey-dovey and committed to being one big happy child-rearing family? – who made it their mission to smoke out that no good, dirty dog Thomas (Matthew Atkinson).
Zoe (Kiara Barnes) is once again a smart and tough cookie – remember how she figured out the baby Beth caper all on her lonesome? Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) are once again in complete agreement – they’re really, really mad at Thomas. And Brooke is once again harboring a whopper of a secret – she and Bill (Don Diamont) locked lips accidentally-on-purpose.
And as Thomas…well, he is once again persona non grata after all the women in his life banded together and exposed his lies and manipulation. Let’s see if this familial estrangement sticks.
Steffy: “I’m sorry…” Hope: “Sorry for what, Steffy? Sorry that you didn’t trap me in a gondola this time?” Hmmm…sounds like a certain someone is still sore that her attempts to halt Steffy and Liam’s Aspen wedding were thwarted.
Bill: “Brooke..I’ll always look out for you…just because we’re not together anymore doesn’t mean that I don’t still care about you…We didn’t do marriage well, and I’ll never understand why.” Well, it was probably karma revenging poor Katie (Heather Tom), whom you both used and abused in your rush to be with one another.
Boy, Bill really loves derogatory nicknames that begin with, or include, the letter D – The Dressmaker, Daddy Dressmaker, Diaper Boy, Degenerate, Arrested Development…which has been your favorite so far?
Vinny: “You’ve done a lot of theses ceremonies?” Yes, Carter sure has. In fact, he isn’t usually let out of his Forrester Creations cupboard unless he has a couple to marry – or divorce. And although we agree with Eric’s assertion that he always does a perfect job, the expediency in which he files documents with the courthouse could use some work,
Thomas endured a number of (well-deserved) reproaches once his scheme was rumbled – heck, Ridge even turned his back on him! – but can we agree the most stinging condemnation came courtesy of Douglas who told his father, ” I want to be with Mommy, Liam, and Beth. I’m happiest there, with them Daddy, not you.”
Is it just too easy to assume that it was Shauna (Denise Richards) spying on Brooke and Bill’s passionate smooch? And if she was indeed the voyeur, will she actually tell Ridge the truth? The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
