Katrina Bowden The Bold and the Beautiful
Last year, Katrina Bowden took some time off as The Bold and Beautiful’s Flo to head to the Redlands of Australia to shoot the survival thriller, Great White.
The actress did some post-production work on the film, re-recording dialogue, and reminisced about her memories “down under” on Instagram.
“Did an ADR session for @greatwhitefilm last night and it brought back all the great memories shooting with these awesome people in this beautiful place,” Bowden posted next to a photo of the cast and director. “I miss Australia. I miss this group of talented, fun people. I miss searching for kangaroos and koalas daily on the drives to and from set like an eager child. And I can’t wait to see the finished product…it’s looking really great already.”
Great White, the feature directing debut of noted commercial director Martin Wilson, follows the story of seaplane operators and lovers headed on a picturesque flight to Hell’s Reef when their trip takes an unexpected turn.
They soon find themselves stranded with their passengers on an island miles from shore and the trip turns into a nightmare when they realize what is lurking just below the surface. Expect plenty of terrifying water shots and thrills. The film is slated for release in 2021.
Bowden also posted that doing ADR for underwater screams is “rough to say the least,” prompting her costar, Australian actor Aaron Jakubenko, to weigh in.
“Oh no… didn’t even think of the underwater screaming,” he said. “Not looking forward to that!”
Flo had quite an eventful year before Bowden took her time off for the movie. She kept the big secret that baby Beth was really alive, and when last we saw her, she had been knocked out by Penny and Sally, who were dragging her lifeless body out of the beach house just as Wyatt walked through the door.
When new episodes resume next week, we should get an answer as to Flo’s fate. Not sure what’s scarier, the shark or a vengeful Sally. The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
