Tanner Novlan On Who Finn May Turn to For Support on The Bold and the Beautiful

Even before the news came down that Liam is the father of Steffy’s baby on The Bold and the Beautiful, the characters of Finn and Hope had much in common. Now, Steffy’s baby has inadvertently given Liam’s wife and Steffy’s boyfriend an additional issue over which they can bond.

Tanner Novlan On Finn’s Dilemma

As viewers of BB know, the show will often pair together in scenes characters in the same storyline to talk about dynamics. Might Finn (Tanner Novlan) and Hope (Annika Noelle) form an unofficial support group since they’ve both been betrayed by the people they love?

“Totally,” Novlan tells Soap Hub. “It’s a really interesting relationship to try to explore. They do have a lot in common.” The actor adds that moving forward, watching Hope and Finn lean on each other could be “really interesting.”

Interestingly, Finn hasn’t let the fact that Liam is the father (or so he thinks, let’s never forget about how Vinny’s been acting) affect his dynamic with Steffy. The good doctor views the unborn baby as a gift and has committed himself to love not only Steffy but her child, too.

Of course, Finn might find some competition if he wants to lend Hope a supportive ear now and then. Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) has been there for his co-worker and is letting her vent her feelings about the whole situation. Thomas hasn’t tried to turn recent developments to his advantage despite gentle nudging from his pal Vinny (Joe LoCicero).

Meanwhile, Steffy and Finn are pretty strong despite the recent paternity tests tying her to Liam once more. One thing Steffy might want to do to respect Finn’s feelings is to lose that portrait of her and Liam that hangs in her living room. Liam may be the father of Steffy’s kids, but Finn is the man in her life!
