It suddenly looks impossible for Finn to comprehend Sheila as a horrible person. In the Monday 13 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, he was hell-bent on convincing his wife that Sheila was a changed woman. Meanwhile, Steffy threw every Sheila crime in Finn’s face. Then she upped the stakes with an ultimatum: Sheila or her. However, choosing Steffy doesn’t mean his relationship with Sheila is over. In fact, it might mean we need to get ready for secret-keeping Finn.
When Finn (Tanner Novlan — who is selling Liberty Biberty merch here) called Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) a “hero,” did anybody else see Steffy’s brain explode? First, he told his wife that Sheila had done the work and that she was a changed woman. The “work” in question here is when she allegedly offered Sugar her own life in favor of Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), Kelly (Sophia Paras McKinlay), and Hayes’s (Alexander and Chase Banks) life.
And he told Steffy that Sheila loved the kids and that she loved Steffy, too. He said it with a straight face, no sarcasm whatsoever. Then, he called Sheila a hero for wanting to sacrifice herself for his family. And Steffy told Finn what kind of person Sheila was, and it certainly wasn’t a hero. There wasn’t any word in the dictionary that was even similar to the word “hero.” Instead, she proceeded to call upon the generations of Forresters that Sheila had terrorized to prove her point.
Steffy was in pure disbelief at her husband wanting her to open her mind to having Sheila in their lives.
After throwing Sheila’s crimes in Finn’s face, Steffy had to get tough. She didn’t want to believe Sheila changed. She didn’t believe for one second that Sheila loved her. And Finn didn’t seem like he was going to revise his opinion. He didn’t care about his birth mom’s past. All he knew was that in the present, she did the work and changed.
At one point, he even called Sheila “mom” instead of “birth mom.” Steffy upped the stakes by presenting her husband with an ultimatum. This moment was inevitable. It had to come down to Steffy or Sheila. Finn didn’t take too long to choose Steffy and the two hugged emotionally. (Check out B&B Comings & Going here)
Finn’s already living life in a delusional place. While choosing Steffy over his birth mom was a good sign, ultimately, ultimatums don’t go well. He’ll either start resenting his wife as he forces himself to stay away from Sheila.
Or he’ll keep his connection with Sheila going and simply lie to Steffy about his whereabouts, what he’s doing, and everything in between. This tactic will eventually do serious damage to their marriage. Either way, their marriage bond is in danger of severing permanently, and if they don’t get on the same page, they’ll find themselves in other people’s arms.
Namely, Liam (2024 Daytime Emmy Nominee Scott Clifton) has been waiting for months and months and months for an opening back into Steffy’s life. As for Finn, Hope (2024 Daytime Emmy Nominee Annika Noelle) seems to buy the Kool-Aid. At least his perspective of the Kool-Aid. Is this a genuine opinion she’s having, or is she playing the long con and using this to get back at Steffy? Only time will tell.
