Thomas’s (Matthew Atkinson) oddly timed, way too soon, and shocking proposal takes Zoe (Kiara Barnes) quite a few steps back. They’ve barely begun dating and here he is asking for a lifetime together. Why now? Why so fast? She has dozens of questions before she can agree to be his bride.

It’s All Good, Baby

Will Thomas have all the right answers? Sure, he will. He has planned this out and run through every possible scenario for days and is sure he can overcome any obstacle she throws his way. Thomas needs her to accept his ring and put it on her finger if he has any hope of the rest of his plan moving forward.

Rumors have Zoe pegged for buying into Thomas’s tall tales, lies, and proclamations of love. He really is quite the catch (at least on papers). He is rich, an heir to a fashion fortune, and can have any woman in the world. Why shouldn’t she snatch him up and keep her for himself?

Douglas Begs For Hope

Of course, it’s all a ploy. Thomas is playing quite the gambling game and it’s getting the exact results he wants. Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri) flies into an emotional and heartbreaking tantrum over the whole scene. He sincerely believes the marriage will result in Zoe taking Hope’s (Annika Noelle) place and he cannot lose another mother.

Hope’s in for quite the ride when Douglas begs her to cement her place in his family. Why can’t she love his dad as she loves him? Douglas is so desperate to make things “right” he has no idea he’s making it all wrong. If he gets through to Hope everything will end in an epic disaster.
