Steffy wasn’t doing as well as she wanted people to think she was doing before her accident and the accident certainly didn’t help.

After all, she had been through enough over the two years. She became a new mother and a single one at that. Then, she decided to adopt a baby so her daughter could have a sister to grow up with just like her. After becoming attached to ‘Phoebe,’ she learned she was really Hope (Annika Noelle) and Liam’s (Scott Clifton) child and had to give her back.

And, of course, there was Liam, who could never manage to make up his mind about what he wants in life and led her on more than once only to return to Hope. Sometimes a woman needs some time on the open road with just her and her motorcycle — except there was Bill essentially not watching where he was going.

Now, Steffy has a back injury, and the only thing that keeps her going in everyday life are painkillers. You could see her addiction growing quickly as it’s not hard to get hooked on prescription pain meds, considering that so many of them have opioids. Her handsome doctor had no problem writing her refills at the beginning but now realizes what a mistake that was — especially while Steffy chases her pills with booze.

He confronts her about it this week and she denies she has a problem, but what will she do when Finn (Tanner Novlan) refuses to give her another refill prescription? Is Vinny (Joe LoCicero) not far away?
