Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers October 2: Ridge Pushes Taylor for a Second Opinion

On the October 2 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, spoilers tease that Ridge is not ready to say goodbye to Taylor. The former Mrs. Ridge Forrester appears resigned to her seemingly grim fate. However, Ridge urges her to get a second opinion about her heart failure from a doctor here in the U.S. It’s sure to be a gripping and emotional day that you don’t want to miss.

A Failing Heart

Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) is absolutely dumbfounded that Taylor (Rebecca Budig) is dying of heart failure. As Taylor revealed her cruel fate, Ridge’s feelings for his former wife flooded back to him. It’s surprising that he didn’t rush her to the hospital after that terrible fall, but Taylor was persistent that she wouldn’t go.

However, Ridge becomes more forceful after hearing Taylor’s devastating news. He will insist that she get a second opinion, and he won’t take no for an answer.

The Best Care

Li (Naomi Matsuda) had already recommended that Taylor see a specialist. Enter Dr. Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech), the very competent doctor and mother to Paris (Diamond White). We haven’t seen Grace since her daughter was romantically involved with Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) against her wishes. We know that Grace is sharp as a tack and doesn’t mince words.

Grace will run all possible tests on Taylor so that she can be confident in the diagnosis she receives. Surely, there must be some treatment options for Taylor. If medications aren’t enough, couldn’t a bypass surgery, a pacemaker implant, or a transplant help Taylor’s ailing heart?

Perhaps Taylor first accepted her fate because she still suffers from a broken heart over Ridge. Emotionally, she felt a bit weak. Now that Ridge is back at her side, giving her the care and attention she needs, will Taylor have a newfound resolve to fight for her life?
