Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers October 1: Taylor’s Diagnosis Shatters Ridge

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers for Tuesday, October 1, preview that Ridge is completely gutted when he learns that Taylor is dying of heart failure. He must be in a state of shock and disbelief, thinking that the doctors made a mistake. Steffy seizes the opportunity to tell Brooke how much Ridge loves Taylor. However, Brooke reminds her that Ridge is committed to her, not Taylor. There’s a complicated love triangle resurfacing on B&B, and you don’t want to miss a minute of the drama.

In Hero Mode

Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) has been acting in flight-or-fight mode since finding Taylor (Rebecca Budig) unconscious on the floor. Fortunately, he made it to the hospital in time to help her. However, Ridge is in for a bigger shock when he learns what is really wrong with Taylor. How could his vibrant ex-wife be dying of heart failure?

It’s less than a year since Ridge weathered the near-death health crisis of his father, Eric (John McCook). Now, he is hit with the possible loss of another one of the most important people in his life. If Taylor was unsure of Ridge’s true feelings for her, it will become clear. Ridge may not be romantically involved with Taylor anymore, but the possibility of her dying is devastating to him.

Ridge’s Heart

Ridge is not only concerned for himself; he knows what this tragic news will do to his daughter, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). She was overjoyed to have Taylor back in town and did all she could to convince her to stay. Ridge will have to console Steffy once she finds out about this heartbreaking news herself.

Now, Steffy is busy asserting Taylor’s place in Ridge’s life to his current love, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang). Last week, Steffy had started that dialogue with Hope (Annika Noelle), trying to get a rise out of her by saying how much Ridge will always love Taylor. This week, Steffy continues that provocative stream of thought with Brooke herself.

Of course, Brooke is used to this and won’t let Steffy get the better of her. Brooke quickly reminds Steffy that Ridge is with her, not Taylor. However, that could all change. Will Ridge’s loyalty start to shift as he thinks Taylor has little time left to live?
