Spoilers for the June 14 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful tease that Katie will question Poppy and Bill about their romantic history. Something isn’t adding up for her, and/or her feelings for Bill are resurfacing. Will Poppy be able to shuffle her out the door? Meanwhile, Brooke is forced to keep Hope’s secret: she feels for Finn. Either Ridge or Steffy must be inquiring. This Friday episode looks to be an intriguing day.
Bill’s Old/New Flame
Katie (Heather Tom) has taken Li’s (Naomi Matsuda) warning about her “gold-digger” sister, Poppy (Romy Park), very seriously. While everyone thinks Luna (Lisa Yamada) is lovely, the consensus on Poppy is much more mixed. (Read Lisa Yamada’s thoughts on Luna being a Spencer here.) As the mother of Bill’s (Don Diamont) son, Will, Katie thinks she has every right to be concerned about Bill’s old/new flame.
For her part, Poppy certainly showed a new side of herself right after moving into Bill’s mansion. When Katie dropped by unannounced to speak to Bill, Poppy made it clear with a whopping heap of innuendo and a sweet smile who is now in charge at the house. (We imagine that the front door will soon be locked.) However, that won’t deter Katie.
Bill’s ex challenges Poppy and Bill on their one night together 20 years ago. The idea of Bill at a music festival is just so out of character. What exactly did Poppy do in that one night (besides getting pregnant) that has left Bill so enchanted all these years later? And why did it take two decades to reconnect? In Katie’s mind, Bill may be deluded. He and Poppy shared one night together, but Katie and Bill have a real relationship and history. Will Katie be able to assert her importance and downgrade Poppy and Bill’s connection?
Hope’s Secret
As FC’s new co-CEO, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) is squarely in Forrester territory. That means day-to-day contact with Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). Steffy has already gotten a strong whiff of Hope’s (Annika Noelle) interest in her husband, Finn (Tanner Novlan). Steffy may share that gut feeling with Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) or Brooke herself.
Brooke isn’t ready to admit what is going on in Hope’s mind about Finn — not if she doesn’t want to ignite a war. So when pressed, Brooke does her best to insist that Hope and Finn are just good friends. Will this explanation suffice, or will those concerned sense that Brooke is hiding something?
