Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers July 5: Katie Puts Poppy on Guard

Poppy sees that Katie is her competitor for Bill.

On the July 5 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, spoilers preview that the Forresters’ 4th of July party continues with relationship intrigue. Poppy realizes that Katie is a formidable foe for Bill’s heart. Meanwhile, Eric makes a toast to Paris and Thomas’ engagement, sending Hope spiraling downward. It’s sure to be a party you don’t want to miss.

Katie is Respected

If Bill (Don Diamont) brings Poppy (Romy Park) to the Forrester party, she may initially be thrilled. To show up on Bill’s arm as his new family with their daughter, Luna (Lisa Yamada), would give Poppy a major status increase in that circle. It could also take her mind off of her ex-boyfriend Tom’s (Clint Howard) sudden death.

However, Poppy may not be ready to see how respected her predecessor, Katie (Heather Tom), is. Bill and Katie aren’t together anymore, but Katie will clearly always have the love and respect of her ex-husband and their associates. In contrast, Poppy’s biggest claim to fame so far is accidentally drugging her daughter. Poppy might see a big discrepancy between how she is welcomed and how Katie is.

Katie could also decide that she wants Bill back and is ready to fight for him. Poppy, put on your game face.

Hope is Devastated

As is common at most Forrester gatherings, Eric (John McCook) raises a glass to celebrate the happy news of the moment. The happy news of this moment is Thomas’s (Matthew Atkinson) return and engagement to Paris (Diamond White). Hope (Annika Noelle) is crushed as Eric leads a toast to the newly engaged couple. After all, public congratulations from Eric are like a seal of approval.

Does no one agree with Hope that this engagement is on the rebound and rushed? Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) initially did, but Thomas convinced him it was the real deal. Hope doesn’t even have Finn (Tanner Novlan) to turn to in her time of need. How will Hope keep her head held high and not completely fall apart?
