Spoilers for the July 17 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful tease that Detective Baker takes Sheila in for questioning about the surprising deaths of Hollis and Tom at Il Giardino. The teasers also note that an important clue goes missing, which is why Sheila is brought in. Does that mean Sheila is not to blame for these deadly crimes? Stay tuned.
As news spread of Hollis’s (Hollis W. Chambers) death at the restaurant, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) quickly concluded that it had to be Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown). With her family gathered together to discuss the shocking event, most seemed to agree with Steffy. Panic-stricken, she called Deputy Detective Baker (Dan Martin) and said the culprit was Sheila.
Of course, Detective Baker is a Forrester ally and takes Steffy’s accusation very seriously. The next thing you know, Sheila is going down to the police station to answer some questions. Even Deacon (Sean Kanan) can’t prevent his wife from being interrogated like a criminal. But what evidence do they have that Sheila committed two murders?
Meanwhile, a critical piece of information about the murders goes missing. Could that be the letters that Hollis found in Tom’s (Clint Howard) backpack? Perhaps someone intercepts and hides Tom’s letters before the police can see them. If the letters were from Tom to his alleged daughter Luna (Lisa Yamada), as we think they are, Poppy (Romy Park) would be desperate to hide them. The letters could steer the police investigation in a completely different direction.
Is the police department barking up the wrong tree with Sheila? Sure, she was acting suspiciously, and she had a motive. But what about Poppy? Did she have even more of a reason to want Tom and Hollis gone?
