The Bold and the Beautiful is heading into fall with a renewed focus on family, romance, and the high-stakes fashion rivalries that defined its earliest years. Co-head writer Michael Minnis teased to TV Line that while the drama won’t be dialed back, the show will lean more heavily on emotional storytelling that connects with viewers on a deeper level.

B&B Plans A Shift in Focus

Co-head writer Michael Minnis explained that while there will still be drama, the emphasis is shifting.

“We’re really trying to center the show and get our focus on our couples and our families and maybe take a little breather from some of the really high dramatic stuff,” he said.

That direction, he added, allows the series to shine where it connects most — moving viewers with stories that feel emotional and authentic.

The move to Sunset Las Palmas Studios is also breathing new life into production, allowing for cinematic shots and an expanded playground of sets. This, Minnis says, will make the show look better than ever.

Fashion Front and Center

Forrester Creations’ iconic showroom is once again at the heart of the action, standing as a permanent set to anchor the storylines in the world of fashion. This opens the door for more runway moments, designs under critique, and the revival of Hope’s (Annika Noelle) Hope for the Future line.

Minnis teased the possibility of a two-house rivalry reminiscent of the Forrester vs. Spectra era — the kind of competitive energy that longtime viewers have been clamoring for.

Love Triangles and Family Fallout

The Liam (Scott Clifton)/Hope/Carter (Lawrence Saint Victor) triangle takes center stage this fall as Liam recommits to Hope, insisting he’s finally ready to be a one-woman man. Hope, however, is torn between her past with Liam and her present with Carter, who wants marriage. The return of Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire) may complicate things further, particularly if she draws Carter’s attention.

Meanwhile, Luna’s (Lisa Yamada) shocking betrayal of Will (Crew Morrow) continues to reverberate through the Spencer family. Bill (Don Diamont) and Katie (Heather Tom) will come together to support their son, sparking questions about whether their shared concern could rekindle old sparks. The fallout will also test Will and Electra’s (Laneya Grace) young romance — and could force Luna to face consequences at last.

Steffy, Taylor, and Ridge at Crossroads

Jacqueline MacInnes Wood returns as Steffy, who comes home to a family in disarray. She’ll rally around Taylor (Rebecca Budig), who is reeling from Ridge’s (Thorsten Kaye) wavering loyalties.

With Ridge and Taylor’s relationship under strain, Taylor may find herself seeking comfort in surprising new directions. Steffy, meanwhile, must catch up on the Luna situation and support Finn (Tanner Novlan) as they strengthen their bond.

What Lies Ahead

With Donna (Jennifer Gareis) and Eric (John McCook) stepping into supporting roles around family crises and fashion, and Zende (Delon de Metz) continuing his run as a designer at Forrester, the canvas feels full again.

The fall promises emotional storytelling tied to love, legacy, and fashion — the backbone of B&B.
