Soap hopper Cassandra Creech, last seen as Diana on Days of our Lives and as Denise on As the World Turns is joining the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful as Grace, Paris Buckingham’s mother. The actress is set to make her B&B debut next week.
Soap Opera Digest broke the news of Creech’s casting. “We are excited to welcome
@CassandraCreech to our #BoldandBeautiful family as Dr. Grace Buckingham! @BandB_CBS. Her first airdate is January 10! Tune in, weekdays only on @CBS.”
“I think it was an aligning of the stars because everything just fell into place,” Creech says. “I was called in through normal casting, and I had a good chemistry read with Diamond [White, Paris] and the rest is history. Here I am, and I’ve got to say, it is extraordinary being here.”
Not much is known about Grace but given that she’s a doctor, she has something in common with Paris’s dad, Dr. Reese Buckingham (Wayne Brady). Are Grace and Reese still married? Has she been in touch with Reese since his incarceration for stealing Hope’s (Annika Noelle) baby? Viewers will want to tune in to find out!
Cassandra Creech made her daytime debut in 2001 as Denise on As the World Turns, the mother of Hope, whose father was Andy Dixon (Scott DeFreitas). Denise and Andy got married in order to give Hope a secure life but eventually, their union fizzled and Denise left town with her daughter. The actress is also known for her turn as Diane, a prison inmate who had a grudge against Gabi (Camila Banus), who was wrongly incarcerated for the murder of Andre DiMera (Thaao Penghlis).
