Soap star Ashley Jones, who’s done double duty as Bridget on The Bold and the Beautiful and Parker on General Hospital, shared some memories of her beloved Scottie, who passed away a while back.
On her Instagram account, the actress posted a series of photos of her cherished pet and talked of a process that helped her cope with his death.
“My Scottie! I miss you so,” she wrote, alongside the photos, which depicted a cute shot of Jones and Scottie together, a shot of the two of them on the beach and then an adorable photo of Scottie dressed in a Santa outfit. “Grateful for you [Eterneva]. You created a beautiful way for me to have Scottie with me always.”
In Jones’ bio, she shares a link to the Eterneva website, which explains how the company transforms the ashes of a pet into a diamond that people are able to hold close.
“We want to be a source of brightness for those coping with the death of a loved one,” it notes. “Through a collaborative and surprisingly uplifting process, we help families and friends honor the bright moments of a life.”
So, when Jones found his stored ashes recently, she knew this would be the perfect thing to do with them. The process has helped her keep Scottie’s treasured memories alive.
“My first fur baby was the sweetest, funniest, most loyal companion that went everywhere and through everything with me— breakups, houses, you name it,” Jones said.
“If I was having a hard day, he’d feel it and give me all the doggie kisses. He sat in my lap in many a makeup chair and many flights around the world. He took care of me as much I took care of him. When he passed away at 17, I was devastated. I like to think he is up there running through fields of gold.”
