Soap Star Linsey Godfrey Is Taking A Social Media Break

Fans first met and fell in love with Linsey Godfrey after she was cast as Caroline on The Bold and the Beautiful. She played that role from 2012 to 2018 and then, she joined the cast of Days of our Lives as Sarah later in 2018.

Linsey Godfrey Focuses On Herself

The actress has been nominated for a Daytime Emmy in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress for both of her roles. She also earned a nod for Social Media Star at the Inaugural Soap Hub Awards earlier this year. However, now comes word that Godfrey is taking a break from posting, at least for a while.

“I’m taking a social break to spend time with my family and friends, work on my personal relationships, and most importantly taking time to focus on myself and my mental health. ❤️,” Godfrey posted on Instagram.

“In the meantime, keep up the good fight, stay loud and STAY WEIRD 🦖🦄🧚🏻✨,” the actress adds. It’s possible Linsey Godfrey fans may still see her during this self-imposed social media hiatus. “You may catch me doing an occasional TikTok dance video,” she adds. “I can’t resist the dance sometimes!!

On BB, Godfrey’s Caroline ran the gamut. She was a quirky heroine, and, at times, manipulative. She shared relationships with Rick (Jacob Young), Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), and Thomas (then Pierson Fodé), giving birth to the latter’s son, Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri).

Alas, two years ago, Thomas came home to Los Angeles from New York where he and Caroline had been co-parenting Douglas and he informed his family and friends that Caroline had died after developing a blood clot. While Thomas could have been lying about Caroline’s death (dude’s been known to fib here and there), it’s the consensus that Caroline is indeed dead.

Next, Godfrey joined the cast of DAYS as Maggie’s (Suzanne Rogers) daughter Sarah, who has had relationships with Rex (Kyle Lowder) and, more recently, Xander (Paul Telfer). Sarah’s been instrumental in transforming Xander from bad boy villain to romantic leading man. While Godfrey is taking a social media break, viewers can continue to see her on Days of our Lives as Sarah.
