Soap Opera Ratings Roundup: How Did Your Favorite Show Perform?

The latest soap opera ratings are out! Soap Hub has the scoop on how The Young and the Restless, The Bold and the Beautiful, General Hospital, and Days of our Lives did in the latest Nielsen ratings for the week ending October 23rd.

Soap Opera Ratings Race

In households, The Young and the Restless came in first place with a 2.28; The Bold and the Beautiful ranked second with 2.01; General Hospital placed third with 1.42, and Days of our Lives is in fourth place with 1.21. Each ratings point equals 1.210 million viewers. So, that means YR had 2.76 million viewers; BB had 2.4 million viewers; GH had 1.71 million viewers; and DAYS had 1.46 million viewers.

In the coveted Women 18-49 demographic, the ranks were YR with a .44; BB had .37; GH had .35; and DAYS had .34.

The Young and the Restless

What storylines were gripping viewers during that week? On YR, Summer (Hunter King) called off her wedding to Kyle (Michael Mealor), believing he still has feelings for his ex, Lola (Sasha Calle). Elena (Britni Sarpy) told Devon (Bryton James) about being unfaithful with Nate (Sean Dominic); Devon ended their relationship. Sharon (Sharon Case) got a healthy prognosis from her doctor. Lily (Christel Khalil) told Amanda (Mishael Morgan) that she was sorry for her role in Hilary’s death.

The Bold and the Beautiful

On BB, Hope (Annika Noelle) told Liam that he’s jealous of Finn (Tanner Novlan). Zoe (Kiara Barnes) flirted with Zende (Delon de Metz). Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) swept Zoe away for a romantic interlude.

General Hospital

On GH, Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) told Ava (Maura West) that he has a letter from Nelle (Chloe Lanier) that states Julian (William deVry) knew about Wiley’s paternity and kept quiet. Lulu (Emme Rylan) and Dustin (Mark Lawson) declared their love, but then Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) came home.

Days of our Lives

Over on DAYS, Orpheus (George DelHoyo) took Marlena (Deidre Hall) hostage after a blackout at Statesville prison occurs and he escapes. Xander (Paul Telfer) is held up at work so, Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) and Philip (Jay Johnson) end up having dinner. Xander finds them together and is a bit jealous. The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless air weekdays on CBS. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Days of our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check local listings for air times.
