Who’s coming and who’s going from the soap opera casts of The Bold and the Beautiful (BB), Days of our Lives (DAYS), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR)?
Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas. Find out if any of your favorite performers from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if any new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring, or day player roles.
After a long absence, Melissa Reeves is finally returning to Days of our Lives. Look for Jennifer Horton Deveraux to arrive back in Salem on Friday, December 24, just in time to decorate the Horton family Christmas tree. The actress made her last appearance on the soap opera in October of 2020.
Heather Lindell is back as Jan Spears on Monday, December 20. The possessed Marlena Brady Black (Deidre Hall) awakens Jan from her coma to wreak havoc for Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) and Belle Black Brady (Martha Madison).
Mark W. Gray appears as Santa Claus on Thursday, December 23. Also, Abigail (Marci Miller) and Chad DiMera’s (Billy Flynn) children surface on Friday, December 24.
Cary Christopher is back as Thomas, while Autumn Gendron takes over the role of his little sister, Charlotte.
Over at General Hospital, there’s good news regarding Kristina Wagner’s return as Felicia Jones Scorpio. The actress has inked a new contract with the soap opera, her first since 2012.
Jeff Kober makes another appearance as Cyrus Renault, this week. He’ll appear in scenes with Genie Francis’ Laura Spencer Collins, who visits her brother in prison.
Vernee Watson is back for another run as Stella Henry, Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) aunt. There’s no word as to the length of her stay this time around.
On The Bold and the Beautiful Shireen Crutchfield pops back in as Sequoyah, a Forrester Creations model, on Tuesday, December 21.
A group of the soap opera’s children will be on hand for the holidays. Avalon and Collette Gray, who share the role of Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Steffy Forrester Finnegan’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) daughter, Kelly, appear on Thursday, December 23, and Friday, December 24, Henry Joseph Samiri returns as Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) son, Douglas, on Thursday, December 23 and Friday, December 24. And last but not least, River Davidson pops in as Liam and Hope Spencer’s (Annika Noelle) daughter, Beth, while Piper Harriot returns as Steffy and Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) son, Hayes, on Friday, December 24.
Finally, a fan favorite will be back at The Young and the Restless for Christmas. Beth Maitland resurfaces as Traci Abbott on Wednesday, December 22. She’ll share scenes with Peter Bergman’s Jack Abbott as the siblings spread holiday cheer.
B&B is one of four soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include Days of our Lives (DOOL), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR). The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
