Who’s coming and who’s going from the casts of The Bold and the Beautiful (BB), Days of Our Lives (Days), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR)?
Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas. Find out if any of your favorite performers from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if any new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring or day player roles.
Look for three big returns on Days of our Lives. Dan Feuerriegel debuts as the new EJ DiMera on Wednesday, June 9. The actor is best known for his starring role as Agron in the Starz series, Spartacus. He replaces James Scott, who played EJ from 2006 to 2014.
Greg Vaughan is also headed back to the soap as Eric Brady. The character has been MIA since Vaughan opted to leave Days in 2020, and Eric was sent to Africa on a missionary trip. Last, but not least, will soon be taking over the role of Johnny DiMera. His credits include the films Runt and Bedeviled. Boatman replaces Aaron and Griffin Kunitz, who played Johnny from 2009 to 2014.
On the General Hospital front, Vernee Watson is finally back on the scene as Curtis’ (Donnell Turner) feisty aunt, Stella Henry. She shares scenes with Brooke Kerr’s Portia on Tuesday, June 8. Watson made her last appearance on the soap in October of 2020, when her character headed back to Europe to visit a newly discovered relative.
Kimberly J. Brown appears to have wrapped up her short-term run as nurse Chloe. The character fell down a boarded-up shaft in the woods, last week, after an altercation with Kirsten Storms’ Maxie.
Over at The Bold and the Beautiful Denise Richards is back for more airtime as Shauna Fulton. She’ll share powerful scenes with her TV daughter, Katrina Bowden, who plays Flo, as Shauna continues to dodge questions about “her fling” with Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and interact with Rena Sofer, as Shauna and Quinn discuss the big secret they’re keeping.
With Liam (Scott Clifton) in the slammer, expect to see more appearances by cops and prison workers. Juan Blasquez turns up as a prison guard on Monday, June 7. Please note that air dates may be subject to change.
