Who’s coming and who’s going from the soap opera casts of The Bold and the Beautiful (BB), Days of our Lives (DAYS), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR)?

Soap Opera Casting For The Week Of January 03, 2022

Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas. Find out if any of your favorite performers from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if any new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring, or day player roles.

General Hospital

Kristina Wagner last appeared in the 2021 special episode honoring the late Sean Donley, played by the late John Reilly. This week, she’s bringing her fan favorite character Felicia Scorpio-Jones back to General Hospital. And according to reports, the actress is back on contract. Wagner will share scenes with her TV daughter, Kirsten Storms’ Maxie Jones.

Days of our Lives

Over at Days of our Lives, there’s big news on the soap opera super couple front. Leann Hunley and Thaao Penghlis are resurfacing as Anna and Tony DiMera. The pair air on Friday, January 7.

Meanwhile, two other DAYS duos are exiting. Matthew Ashford and Melissa Reeves depart Salem and head to Boston as Jack and Jennifer Deveraux on Thursday, January 6.

Also leaving town are Bryan Dattilo as Lucas Horton and Alison Sweeney as Sami Brady DiMera. The on-again/off-again duo decide to fly back to Europe to rebuild their relationship.

The Young and the Restless

Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Chance Chancellor’s (Conner Floyd) son, Dominic, has finally been cast on The Young and the Restless. Twins River and Rainn Ware are sharing the role. The soap opera had been using a bundle of blankets to fill in as the infant, due to COVID precautions.

Beth Maitland makes another appearance as Traci Abbott on Friday, January 7. She’ll dole out advice and direction to Jason Thompson’s Billy Abbott.

The Bold and the Beautiful

Meanwhile, on The Bold and the Beautiful, Erika Medina has been playing Taylor Hayes’s (Krista Allen) assistant. She’ll pop up again on Monday, January 3, and Wednesday, January 5.

Henry Joseph Samiri returns as young Douglas Forrester and Alfonso Caballero portrays the “meeting leader” on Friday, January 7.

B&B is one of four soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include Days of our Lives (DOOL), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR). The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
