Who’s coming and who’s going from the casts of The Bold and the Beautiful (BB), Days of Our Lives (Days), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR)?

Soap Opera Casting

Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas. Find out if any of your favorite performers from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if any new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles.

The Young and the Restless

After nearly a decade on the job, Alyvia Alyn Lind is exiting her role as Faith Newman, Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon’s (Sharon Case) daughter, on The Young and the Restless. Lind, who’s played the character on and off since 2011, makes her final appearance on Wednesday, April 7. The actress is departing the soap to take on a lead role in the TV series Chucky. Reylynn Caster will be taking over the role later this month.

Jack Landron premieres as Sutton Ames, Naya’s father and Amanda’s (Mishael Morgan) grandfather, on Monday, April 5. The actor has held down guest spots on Shameless, Grey’s Anatomy, and Jane the Virgin.

In addition, Ptosha Storey pops back in as Naya Benedict on Thursday, April 8.

General Hospital

Sean Blakemore is heading back to General Hospital as Shawn Butler, TJ’s (Tajh Bellows) biological father and Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) trusted henchman. Blakemore played Shawn from 2011 to 2015 and again in 2016, winning a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his efforts in 2016.

Dan White has been portraying Elijah Crowe. The character is Phyllis (Joyce Guy) and Lenny’s (Rif Hutton) sketchy friend.

Days of our Lives

Over at Days of our Lives, a popular DiMera is heading back to Salem: EJ. The character, last played by James Scott, was “killed off” in 2014, but deemed alive in 2018. Word is Dan Feuerriegel, best known for his role as Agron in the Starz series Spartacus, has nabbed the coveted part.

The Bold and the Beautiful

Vasthy Mompoint begins a stint as Dr. Ricks, a Los Angeles coroner, on The Bold and the Beautiful, this week. She makes her debut on Thursday, April 8.

Please note that air dates may be subject to change.
