Soap Opera Casting For The Week Of January 31, 2022

Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas. Find out if any of your favorite performers from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if any new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring, or day player roles.

The Young and the Restless

Fans of The Young and the Restless will soon be bidding adieu to Phyllis Summers, but don’t worry, it’s only temporary. Michelle Stafford explained that she’ll be off the soap opera for two weeks – likely a vacation break. It looks like her character will be jetting off to Milan to visit her daughter Summer Newman Abbott (Hunter King).

The Bold and the Beautiful

Over at The Bold and the Beautiful, Forrester Creations head of security is back on the scene. Dick Christie returns as Charlie Webber, after being summoned by Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) on Thursday, February 3. He’ll also appear on Friday, February 4.

Shireen Crutchfield pops back in as model Sequoyah. She airs on Friday, February 4.

Days of our Lives

EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) meets his prison cellmate on Days of our Lives, and it’s a familiar face. James Read returns as Clyde Weston this week. The actor made his last appearance on the soap back in November of 2021.

General Hospital

Meanwhile, at General Hospital, Vernee Watson continues her latest story arc on the soap opera as Stella Henry. She’ll confront Marshall (Robert Gossett) on Monday, January 31.

Bradford Anderson is back as Damian Spinelli on Thursday, February 3. Look for Sam (Kelly Monaco) to reach out to the computer genius.

Max Decker is playing Victor’s (Charles Shaughnessy) bodyguard, Johan. The actor previously portrayed Carlos Reyes on All My Children (2002-2004) and had short-term gigs on Days of our Lives as Max and Zig.

After attending Luke’s funeral, Holly Gagnier wrapped up her latest stint as Jennifer Smith. Gagnier first appeared as the character in 2015.

B&B is one of four soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include Days of our Lives (DOOL), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR). The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
