Carter’s coup plan blew up in his face. Everyone knows about his dirty little secret on The Bold and the Beautiful. He hurt his longtime friend and business partner, Ridge. But there’s another added layer to this messy plot. The aftermath is still being felt within Carter’s former inner circle.
Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) had a showdown with Hope (Annika Noelle) after she heard about Carter’s (Lawrence Saint-Victor) coup attempt. What she should’ve done was confront Carter about it. But she believed that Hope was the one who got into his head all this time.
Steffy had no idea that Hope and Carter were working so closely together. It was painful to think that Carter would betray her father like that. Carter didn’t just betray Ridge (Thorsten Kaye); he also betrayed Steffy.
She revealed something that B&B fans didn’t always get to witness: Steffy and Carter developed a close friendship out of their working relationship. She enjoyed working alongside him, and she got to experience Carter’s visionary talent for herself.

The surprise twist is that Carter didn’t just ruin one friendship—he ruined two. Carter did all of this because of his deep and sudden love for Hope. It will be hard for him to come back from this level of betrayal.

Carter can’t redeem himself after this, especially if he still wants revenge. Steffy and Ridge were seemingly open to the idea of working with Carter again. Just as long as he’s not fraternizing with the enemy named Hope.
The father-daughter duo already agreed to ensure that Hope will never work for Forrester Creations again. If Steffy had her way, all of the Logans would be removed. But that’s not her final decision to make.
For now, Carter destroyed his trust in the Forresters. He will have to find a way to dig himself back from this situation. He can consider his career toast.
