The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Wednesday, May 21 saw Hope sharing a secret with Carter, Daphne Rose feeling the heat, and Grace giving Liam a single option to extend his life.
What You Missed On Bold and the Beautiful
Over at the hospital, Liam (Scott Clifton) was devastated to learn that all hope was basically gone. Grace (Cassandra Creech) didn’t call them to the office to talk cures, she wanted to discuss extending the time he has left. Liam, Finn (Tanner Novlan), and Steffy (Jacquline MacInnes Wood) sat and listened as she explained there was a way to slowdown the timeline, however, the extra days/weeks/months come at a cost. It’s a choice between quality of life and quantity of life. Radiation and chemo were on the table but the treatment protocol could the clock slowdown and the side effects are risky.

Steffy was all for moving forward and keeping Liam around as long as possible. However, Liam wasn’t so sure. He saw what his mother went though when sickness took her life. She wasn’t the woman she was near the end and Liam didn’t want that for himself or the children.
Let Me Explain
Meanwhile, Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) was put off by Hope’s (Annika Noelle) insistence he’s the only man for her considering what he overheard. Hope tried to explain and tell him that’s not what it is at all but Carter wasn’t about to take her word for it. Hope had no choice but to tell Carter everything. Yes, she said all those things but only because Liam is dying. Carter looked gobsmacked. He pulled Hope into his arms as tears filled her eyes.
Carter understood Hope’s moment of waffling and forgave her. They decided then and there to put the past behind them and bank on their own love. Carter vowed to be the man Hope needed right now…and the man she’d need forever.
Try, Try Again
Speaking of reconciliation, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) took Steffy and Hope’s (Annika Noelle) newfound peace as a green light to try and win back Ridge (Thorsten Kaye). If their daughters could get along why can’t they put things back how they belong too? Ridge let her talk without saying much and looked rather relieved when Katie (Heather Tom) walked in the room and interrupted the chitchat.

Katie joined in putting the pressure on Ridge and continued that pressure even after Brooke left. Her sister is the dressmaker’s destiny and she urged him to make things right. Ridge took the lecture in stride and smiled as Katie made her thoughts known. All the while, Brooke was in the staging room reminiscing about the fashion show and the world’s reaction to seeing them together on stage.
A Green-Eyed Monster
Across the hall, Electra (Laneya Grace) had a big idea for Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire) but her proposal of creating fragrances to go with jewels didn’t land well. Creating a gemstone perfume line was the least of her worries after learning Hope was back in the office – and that it was her friend’s doing. Steffy rehired Hope?! Daphne Rose was gagged over the whole thing. It was clear she felt betrayed by her friend. Steffy brought her here to get rid of the woman and now she’s inviting her back into he inner circle?! Later, alone with Zende, she vented about the whole ordeal.
