The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Friday, August 8, saw Grace facing Liam’s wrath and Sheila discovering Li’s shady little secret.
What You Missed Today On Bold and the Beautiful
Grace’s (Cassandra Creech) visit had Liam (Scott Clifton) and Hope (Annika Noelle) terrified for a hot second. Was the cancer back? Is Liam still dying? Imagine their (temporary) relief to hear that no, Liam is good. No tumor here. Wait, no tumor? For a hot second, they took that to mean the cancer was gone and sang Grace’s praises. She’s a miracle worker! An angel! A saint! A hero!. Imagine their shock when Finn shut that down. No more waxing poetic of the “good” doc!
Imagine their shock when Grace started coming clean. Liam never had cancer. She took the symptoms of his brain bleed and combined them with another patient’s scans, and ran with it. She scammed him; she scammed his father. It was all one big lie.

Liam was flabbergasted. He was so blindsided he couldn’t believe it. What does she mean he didn’t have brain cancer? He had all the symptoms, and he had the surgeries. Yes, he did. Grace gave him meds to make him sick so she could “cure” him. It took Hope all of a split second before Hope and Liam realized the reason why – money. Just like Reese did with Beth. The Buckinghams keep torturing them for a cash grab.
Furious, Liam went on the attack, which thankfully for Grace, Finn stopped and held him back. Grace then poured out the whole sordid tale. This was all Reese’s fault. She did what she did to save her family after Reese’s debtors came chasing her and her family. Surely, they must understand, right? Nope. Not at all. Hope lost it and slapped her right across the face and read that doc for filth. There would be no mercy here.
Ashamed and frantic, Grace offered to do the right thing and turn herself in. Finn then dragged her off and hauled her off to the police station, leaving Liam and Hope to deal with the aftermath.
Bill & Katie Caught Up
Meanwhile, over in the design room, Katie (Heather Tom) updated Bill (Don Diamont) about Brooke’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) near-death drama…and how it brought her back to Ridge (Thorsten Kaye). Surprisingly, Dollar Bill wasn’t that upset to hear his ex was getting back with her ex. He was much too worried about Liam to care about what Brooke was up to.
Bill opened up about how things played out for Liam. Grace saved his life, thanks to a million-dollar surgery. Katie was on edge over that collosal number, but to Bill, it was just money. Money that saved his son. He would gladly open up his bank account over and over for his children. Look at him having his priorities in order! He’s such a good man now. If only he could turn back time and fix all his mistakes.

Sheila & Li Repeated History
At the same time, Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) continued needling Li (Naomi Matsuda) for answers about Luna (Lisa Yamada), which, of course, Li wasn’t about to spill. It didn’t matter how much Sheila railed against her. Eventually, Li stormed off to get away from the interrogation. Unfortunately, she didn’t pick up all those vials that scattered out of her purse and when Sheila saw one, she heard those all-too-familiar alarm bells ringing in her head.
Suspicious and undettered, Sheila followed Li home. Li tried to shut her out when she opened the door, but Sheila is one tough cookie. “I know what you’re doing,” she seethed. Funny enough, Sheila didn’t assume Li was hiding Luna, she thought she was hiding an addition and pretended to leave when Li balked. It was a trick, though, and when Li backed off for a split second, Sheila got through the door.
Once inside, Sheila slammed back the curtain and saw her precious granddaughter. She was alive! She’s not okay but at least she’s alive. Sheila broke down in tears of joy.
