At Forrester Creations, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) rushed to Taylor’s (Rebecca Budig) side after she collapsed in the salon. Taylor eventually regained consciousness and refused to go to the hospital. She insisted that Ridge not tell Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) about the incident.
Meanwhile, in the main office, Steffy and Finn (Tanner Novlan) kissed. Finn assured Steffy that Hope (Annika Noelle) was not a concern. Eric (John McCook) entered, pleased to see them. He praised the successful Brooke’s Bedroom photoshoot. They talked about how Ridge seemed to be in a good place, attributing it to Taylor’s influence. Steffy was glad for her mother’s positive effect on their family.
In the design office, Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) tried to convince Hope to model lingerie, admitting he had thought about her in it. They laughed, and Carter mentioned his past affair with Quinn (Rena Sofer), calling it his biggest regret. Eric interrupted, searching for a drawing, and briefly discussed the photoshoot.
At Il Giardino, Katie (Heather Tom) and Will (Crew Morrow) had lunch. Will said he wanted to talk about his father, Bill (Don Diamont). When Katie asked how he would feel if she got back together with Bill, Will expressed he only wanted to see her happy. He admired parts of his father but wished Bill was a better role model. Will told Katie he’d transferred schools so he would stick around.
Later, Taylor told Ridge that she had been experiencing attacks and had already seen a doctor in Europe. Ridge wanted to know more, and Taylor revealed she had heart failure and didn’t have long to live.

At Forrester, Taylor told Ridge she was suffering from heart failure. Ridge told her it couldn’t be true, but Taylor insisted it was. Ridge realized Taylor returned home because she was ill. Despite his optimism, Taylor explained that her health would only get worse, and she didn’t have long to live.
In the main office, Steffy discussed her collaboration with J.J. with Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang). They acknowledged their shared love for Forrester and for Ridge. Brooke said it would mean a lot to Ridge if they could get along. However, Steffy reminded Brooke that her mother would always be an important part of Ridge’s life.
Meanwhile, Katie spoke with Will in the design office about working at Forrester. Will was still adjusting to school but wanted to be there for his mother. Katie admitted she wasn’t sure about reuniting with Bill, acknowledging Bill had caused pain.
In the salon, Taylor told Ridge that she had experienced chest pains and fatigue, which prompted her to see a doctor. She begged Ridge not to tell Steffy or Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) about her condition.
Ridge wanted her to seek further treatment, but Taylor insisted that her diagnosis was final. Ridge reluctantly promised to keep her secret. In the end, Taylor broke down in Ridge’s arms as he assured her that he wouldn’t lose her.

Ridge insisted that Taylor fight her illness, suggesting a second opinion. However, Taylor believed there was no point in confirming what she already knew. Despite his pleas, she reiterated that she was dying. They hugged, both holding back tears.
Ridge mentioned that Li (Naomi Matsuda) had given Taylor contact information for doctors, including Dr. Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech), but Taylor resisted further testeng. Ridge told her they would fight together, just as his father had done.
Meanwhile, Katie talked to Will about interning at Forrester. Although Will was initially unsure if fashion was for him, he eventually agreed after meeting some of the models. Katie was delighted that her son would be working with her.
Later, Ridge and Taylor visited Dr. Grace Buckingham. The doctor was surprised that Taylor hadn’t undergone follow-up tests. Grace encouraged her to get some tests done. Though Taylor was hesitant, Ridge convinced her to proceed with the tests, reassuring her that she wasn’t alone.
In the main office, Steffy and Brooke discussed Will’s internship and wondered where Ridge was. Brooke suspected he might be with Taylor.
Ridge and Taylor hugged as they prepared to fight her illness.

In a doctor’s office, Taylor hugged Ridge, thanking him for encouraging her to get checked. Ridge believed that Dr. Grace Buckingham might have a plan. Grace arrived, explaining that they would have test results quickly. Taylor followed Grace for the tests, pausing to smile at Ridge.
At Forrester, Hope and Steffy discussed their mothers. Steffy pointed out that her mother is a psychiatrist while Hope’s mom is a lingerie model. Although they didn’t want to revisit the old rivalry between their mothers, Steffy remained skeptical of Hope’s sincerity, especially after her apology regarding Finn. Hope insisted she was genuine and wanted to set a better example for their children.
Meanwhile, at Bill’s place, he told Katie he wanted to spend his life with her. Katie reminded him of his past infidelities with her sister. She also pointed out he’d recently been living with Poppy (Romy Park). Katie refused to be a stand-in for anyone. She firmly told Bill that she couldn’t go back to him.
Later, Taylor rejoined Ridge at the hospital and admitted her future depended on the test results. They shared a tense moment, reflecting on their past. Taylor said she wanted Ridge to be happy, no matter the outcome.
Grace returned with surprising news: Taylor’s tests showed she did not have heart failure. Instead, Grace believed Taylor was suffering from “Broken Heart Syndrome,” a condition mimicking heart attack symptoms caused by stress. Ridge was stunned, but Grace reassured them that it was real and treatable.
MORE: Could Carter and Katie get back together?
Friday, October 4, 2024
In Grace’s office, she told Taylor that it was unlikely she had heart failure, suggesting instead that Taylor was suffering from Broken Heart Syndrome. Taylor found this diagnosis ridiculous and insisted Grace was wrong. Grace explained that the overseas doctor hadn’t conducted follow-up tests that would have ruled out heart failure. However, Taylor, frustrated, dismissed the idea and walked out.
Meanwhile, at Forrester, Steffy negotiated a cover shoot with Liam for Spencer Publications and got everything she wanted. They discussed how much Kelly adored her grandmother, Taylor, who had returned home. Steffy mentioned that Taylor seemed different this time, more settled, and was focused on spending time with her family.
At Bill’s house, he confided in Brooke that Katie had rejected him, still hurt by his past with Brooke. Bill believed this was a chance to reunite their family, but Brooke pointed out that Katie wasn’t ready. Bill acknowledged that Katie couldn’t trust her heart with him, partly because of his history with Brooke. Despite Brooke’s reassurances, Bill questioned whether Ridge’s relationship with Taylor affected Brooke and Ridge’s commitment.
Back in Grace’s office, Taylor debated the Broken Heart Syndrome diagnosis with Ridge. Grace explained that while Taylor had no blocked arteries or heart damage, the condition could still be dangerous if left untreated. Ridge urged Taylor to accept the diagnosis, reminding her of the mind-body connection. Taylor felt insulted, thinking the condition implied weakness, and dismissed it as psychosomatic.
At the cliff house, Taylor was frustrated by the diagnosis, thinking it implied she was still in love with Ridge. Ridge tried to reassure her, emphasizing that the condition was treatable and that she wasn’t alone. Taylor, emotional, asked Ridge not to tell anyone, including Brooke. Ridge agreed, and they hugged.
