It was a dramatic five days in Los Angeles, and The Bold and the Beautiful recap for September 23–27, which turned out to be an emotional week that rocked and rolled. Plus, Taylor stopped, dropped, and blacked out at Forrester Creations.
What Happened In Los Angeles?
Monday, September 23, 2024
Taylor (Rebecca Budig) explained to Li (Naomi Matsuda) that while she was in Europe, she ignored symptoms. But when she experienced shortness of breath, it became clear she had to see a doctor. And the doctor told her she was experiencing heart failure, which is why she was back in Los Angeles.
While Li offered to set her up with a cardiologist, there was something else she couldn’t do. She couldn’t talk Taylor into telling her family about her heart condition. Taylor didn’t want to be a burden. She just wanted to spend time with her family.
At Forrester Creations, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) talked about Taylor and how much Steffy missed her mom. Even though she knew it sounded silly, she wanted her mom to be in town. So, Ridge needed to figure out how to convince Taylor to stay in Los Angeles. Ridge agreed to do what he could.
At Eric’s mansion, Donna (Jennifer Gareis), Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), and Eric (John McCook) rehashed Luna’s (Lisa Yamada) crimes and her incarceration. But the conversation soon turned to Taylor. Ultimately, Brooke told Donna and Eric that she and Taylor had talked about forging a friendship again.
Later, Brooke and Ridge chatted at Forrester, and she told him about how she and Taylor wanted peace in their families. In fact, Brooke said she had asked her if they could be friends again — real friends this time, and that she agreed that there was a possibility. Ridge hoped that the two women in his life could get along. That way, Taylor would stick around LA, making Steffy happy.
Finally, Taylor was alone at Steffy’s, looking at the family photos, and she got emotional. That’s when Steffy arrived and saw her mom in tears. She wanted to know what was wrong.

Steffy and Taylor continued their emotional talk about Taylor’s being back in LA. Steffy wanted to know why she found her mom in tears, but Taylor wouldn’t tell her daughter the real reason. At one point, Steffy asked her if a guy was involved, but her mom quickly denied it. She also said that she didn’t need a man in her life to be happy.
Later, Steffy was the one in tears when she told her mom that she loved having her mom in town with her and her family. She was the light of their family’s lives, and she wanted Taylor in her life until she was old and gray.
Meanwhile, Finn (Tanner Novlan) visited Li’s office at the hospital. He noticed his mom was in a strange mood. She looked distracted, like something weighed on her mind. However, after some prodding, she told him how she had a patient with an illness who refused to tell her family about it. In fact, she didn’t want them to know at all.
At Forrester, Brooke and Ridge discussed Taylor, who has been a popular topic of conversation these past couple of days. Brooke told him how happy she was that Steffy had Taylor to lean on right now. And that she felt that Taylor wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

While talking to Finn and Steffy, Li texted Taylor, trying to convince her to tell her family what she was going through. But she ignored the text in favor of being with family. When Steffy brought up Ridge, Taylor skirted the topic. Instead, she wanted to talk about spending as much time with Steffy and her family because every minute counted.
At Forrester Creations, Brooke seemed a little overwhelmed by all the demands for interviews and everything related to Brooke’s Bedroom line. Despite the minor freak-out, she asked Hope (Annika Noelle) how she was doing. She wanted the status of her daughter’s feelings for Finn. Unfortunately, Ridge walked in while they were awkwardly talking about the Finn kiss. Brooke and Hope’s conversation came to a screeching halt, which Ridge noticed.
In the other office, Katie (Heather Tom) tried to give Will (Crew Morrow) the hard sell on potentially working at Forrester rather than Spencer Publications. As COO, Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) added his two cents. Will ultimately decided to keep an open mind and told his mom he wouldn’t listen to his dad’s demands. He would make the decision for himself.
Bill (Don Diamont) and Liam (Scott Clifton) worked at Bill’s mansion instead of at the office. Of course, the conversation turned to Bill’s love life. Liam thought that Poppy (Romy Park) was great, but now that Luna (Lisa Yamada) was rotting in jail, maybe Poppy wasn’t the right person for him. However, Katie could be. Bill agreed. After Liam left, Katie arrived, and Bill reiterated what he said to Liam. He told Katie that he wanted them to be a family again.
Steffy and Hope had yet another awkward chat about their parents. Steffy was all about Taylor being back and what Ridge meant to her mom. Meanwhile, Hope was like, cool, cool, cool, but he’s with my mom. And she didn’t see Ridge and Brooke splitting up anytime soon. Regardless, Steffy was super happy that she and her mom could spend so much time together.
Finally, Taylor stopped by Ridge’s office. Ridge gave her the hard sell on staying in LA. He pointed out that their daughter needed Taylor in life. While Finn may be her rock, Taylor is her guiding star.

Hope and Steffy continued their talk. Steffy reiterated that she wasn’t playing matchmaker and that Taylor was back in town simply to spend time with her family. Hope needed assurance, although she also insisted that nothing would ever come between Brooke and Ridge.
Taylor and Ridge also continued their talk. Ridge admitted he was happy that Taylor was back in town. Later, when Brooke walked in and interrupted their chat, Taylor decided to make a quick exit after they talked about the impending Brooke’s Bedroom video shoot. Alone, Brooke asked Ridge if he noticed that Taylor was off. Ridge didn’t see it, so Brooke brushed it off.
At Forrester, Will savagely asked why RJ (Joshua Hoffman) didn’t realize Luna was a lunatic. A tense RJ claimed he wasn’t the only one Luna played. She played Will’s dad, too, which was accurate. When RJ wanted to know why Will was standing in the middle of FC, Will said his mother worked here, duh. But he also mentioned trying to figure out what to do with his life. He may actually end up working at Forrester. RJ didn’t look happy.
Back at Bill’s mansion, the Spencer Publications guru wanted to spend more time with Will and wanted to get Katie’s take on it. Eventually, he hoped they could all spend a lot of time together again. He wanted them to be a happy family again. All he needed was a yes. That’s when Will suddenly walked in, and Bill asked him if they could be that family again.
Finally, Taylor was proud of Steffy and felt she was a role model for so many young women. When they talked all things Ridge again, Taylor clearly wanted to put this topic to bed. However, she did say that when she was married to him, those were the happiest days of her life. Steffy noticed that losing Phoebe and Ridge took a toll on her mom.
Taylor claimed she was happy to be with Steffy and her children—and nothing more. She accepted Brooke and Ridge, and Steffy needed to, as well.

It was the day of the video shoot for Brooke’s Bedroom Line, and everybody was in the Forrester Creations studio, waiting for Kaleo’s lead singer, JJ. Bridget Forrester (Ashley Jones) arrived. She was responsible for JJ’s involvement in this production. They hired him to sing his band’s biggest hit, “Way Down We Go.”
Finn and Taylor also arrived at Forrester for the big day. Steffy took the time to warn Hope about Finn attending the video shoot. She bluntly asked her frenemy to respect her marriage and stay away from her husband. However, Hope couldn’t help herself when she approached Finn and talked to him about being a Kaleo superfan.
In the CEO’s office, Steffy warned Taylor that she might not want to stick around for the duration of the shoot. She said there would be a lot of Ridge and Brooke togetherness and Brooke in lingerie. Later, Steffy told Hope to leave the room after she caught her staring at Finn fawning over JJ.
Carter actually paid attention to Hope. After getting kicked out of the studio, the COO asked her if she decided to skip the performance. Hope wanted Carter’s honest impression of Hope for the Future. Even though, in the recent past, he’d been all about the bottom line, he told her he loved HFTF. Plus, he had an idea that he thought would revitalize the whole line.
When Zende (Delon de Metz) started the shoot, Taylor looked like she was short of breath. After JJ finished his performance, Hope and Carter talked about Carter’s idea. He thought Hope should model lingerie and be in front of the camera. They may have flirted a little bit simultaneously. Meanwhile, Finn assured Steffy that Hope could look at him however she wanted to look at him. He only had eyes for Steffy.
While Brooke and Ridge basked in the success of the video shoot, Taylor wasn’t doing well. She could hear them but held on tight to the curtain. Her heart beating rapidly. After Brooke left the room, Taylor collapsed, and Ridge rushed to her side, screaming, “Taylor!”
