The Bold and the Beautiful recaps for September 19 – September 23, 2022 feature failures to launch and failures to communicate, blatant disrespect, and bubbling discord.
Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) does her best to dissuade Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) of the notion that she [Taylor] will reunite with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye); she is unsuccessful…Steffy phones Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) and orders him and Ridge to the cliff house posthaste.
The men, both under the impression that time is of the essence, are slightly put out to find that Steffy has merely arranged a day of family festivities…Steffy waxed poetic about her new lease on life and urged her parents to give their marriage another go…Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) shares with Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle) her plan to treat Ridge to a night of romantic frivolity.
Taylor puts a stop to Steffy’s attempt at matchmaking and requests that Ridge’s marriage to Brooke be respected…Steffy intercepts Brooke’s attempt to reach Ridge by phone…Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) is intrigued by a mysterious text message…Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) continues to pine for a future wherein she, John “Finn” Finnegan, and Hayes Finnegan are one big happy family. Deacon warns Sheila to curb her enthusiasm and to make sure she stays hidden away from the public eye.
Brooke and Hope resolve to confront their respective rivals…Hope blasts Steffy for perpetuating the Logan vs. Forrester feud; Steffy, in turn, espouses the belief that Ridge should return to his “real family.” Elsewhere, Brooke demands that Taylor put a stop to Steffy’s interference; Taylor concedes that her children have been working overtime to push their parents into reconciling and that she’s appealed to them to cease and desist…Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) recounts for Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) the moment he and Brooke were caught embracing by Ridge.
Brooke claimed to Taylor that she and Ridge were each other’s destiny; Taylor opinioned that Ridge wasn’t happy with Brooke and that he’s waging an internal struggle over which woman is best for him…Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) offered Hope her ear to bend, but Hope would rather discuss matters with Thomas. Thomas cops to being well aware of Steffy’s ploy to keep Ridge from taking Brooke’s call…Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) and Bill lunched together and sang each other’s praises.
Steffy pulled out all the stops to convince Ridge to make a real go of it with Taylor. Ridge bares his heart to Steffy and Taylor…Brooke pays Douglas Forrester (Django Ferri) a visit at the family homestead and is perturbed to find Thomas using a knife to carve up an apple. Brooke and Thomas have a serious set-to that climaxes with the latter blaming the former for his life’s woes while wildly brandishing the blade.
