Bold and the Beautiful Recap January 29: Poppy’s Days of Dancing Around the Bush Are Done

The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Wednesday, January 29, featured a moment of truth for Finn and Poppy. The rumors were right, and yes, they had a secret rendezvous all those years ago. 

What Happened Today On The Bold and the Beautiful?

Finn (Tanner Novlan) was still in his office replaying his conversation with Li (Naomi Matsuda). It was clearly weighing on his mind. So much so, he decided it was high time he and Poppy (Romy Park) had a talk. He called her up and asked her to come to his office…which she wasted no time doing. Once there, though, Poppy found herself in the line of fire. 

A Long-Forgotten Secret Came Out!

Finn went over the past few rounds of DNA tests and confronted Poppy about keeping such a secret. How could she lie so much? Then, Finn did what many B&B fans were expecting him to do and walked her down Memory Lane as they revisited their own shocking and illicit affair. Poppy tried to pass it off as them simply having a connection and going too far, but not Finn. He realized the gravity of their secret. 

As the story goes, Finn and Poppy used to spend a ton of time together back in the day, including hanging out on the rooftop and watching the sunrise. Long talks soon turned to more, and Poppy eventually took Finn to bed for the very first time. Later, when he learned she was pregnant, he asked if he was the father, and Poppy made it seem impossible. It doesn’t seem so improbable now, though, and Finn outright demanded the truth. Is he Poppy’s father?!

Reminiscing and Reconnecting

Finn and Poppy weren’t the only ones hashing things out. At the same time, Li (Naomi Matsuda) went to Il Giardino to meet Jack (Ted King). Luckily, Deacon (Sean Kanan) was right there to put her at ease that Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) wasn’t around. With that out of the way, Li and Jack got to talking. They both apologized for their past and hoped they could at least be civil in the future…for Finn’s sake, of course. They wanted what was best for their son. Reminding them of Finn’s happiness was a Deacon who urged them to work through their issues and get back on solid ground. That’s what Finn would want, right? 

Meanwhile, over at the Spencer estate, Luna (Lisa Yamada) continued to gripe about Tom Starr being her dad. She and Dollar Bill (Don Diamont) had a long talk about their fathers, and Luna was pretty distraught about hers (it was too bad she didn’t know what was going on at the hospital!). She opened up about her life with Poppy and how it felt growing up in chaos. Bill understood. His life wasn’t exactly a bouquet of roses, either. However, Bill reminded Luna that he wouldn’t be the powerhouse he is today without those hardships. Perhaps Luna could channel that energy the right way, too?
