Bold and the Beautiful Recap January 28: Finn Began To Act Rather…Suspicious?

The Bold and the Beautiful recap for January 28 featured everyone talking about Luna’s daddy…and Finn having quite a strange reaction to all the news. 

What Happened Today On The Bold and the Beautiful?

Li (Naomi Matsuda) clung on to Finn (Tanner Novlan) as she realized she may never know who Luna’s (Lisa Yamada) father is. She trauma dumped on Finn and shared all her regrets. She treated those she loved horribly because of her unsubstantiated suspicions, and she ruined relationships. Oh, if only she could go back in time! The question still remained, though…who IS Luna’s father? 

Finn looked a wee bit suspicious. He suggested I run the DNA test on Tom (Clint Howard) again. Li wasn’t about to do all that. Their conversation was interrupted and Li ran off to see a patient, leaving Finn to dwell on everything Li has said and what it all means.

The Truth Needs to Come Out

Meanwhile, Jack (Ted King) and Poppy (Romy Park) got a table at Il Giardino and continued to talk things through. They admitted to not being saints, but they didn’t go down THAT road. Jack apologized to Poppy for not defending her back then…or even recently. Li’s secret animosity ruined their sisterly bond. Poppy understood, though. It isn’t like she doesn’t have a shady past. Then, Jack asked the big question – who IS Luna’s father? 

As for Luna, she was staring into a mirror, talking to herself, and wondering about her dad. It simply could not be Tom Starr. She didn’t want to believe it…and she didn’t know she didn’t have to. Tom Starr is NOT her father. Luna looked back on all the times she demanded the truth and how much Poppy used to freak out when she asked questions about her dad. 

Wishful Thinking

All the while, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) was at the mansion, continuing to marvel at her parent’s reunion…and the fallout between Jack and Li. Taylor (Rebecca Budig) suggested she work her matchmaker magic. Steffy was sure that was more than she could do. There was just too much animosity between Finn’s parents. But, oh, how she wished her husband could experience the same kind of happiness, she is now that Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Taylor are reunited. 

Taylor reminded Steffy that Finn’s joy doesn’t come from his parents but from his own family. Would it be nice? Sure. But Finn’s life is Steffy and the kids now. He’s not pining for his parents to get back together. He has all the happiness and love he needs right in his own home.
