The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Monday, May 5 saw Liam in pain, Steffy on her high horse, Hope questioning Carter, and Brooke making yet another desperate bid for Ridge’s heart.
What Happened Today On Bold and the Beautiful?
Liam (Scott Clifton) was all gratitude over Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) – and Finn (Tanner Novlan) taking care of him. Steffy worried they wouldn’t find a solution to save him. Liam was worried, too, but if he has to face the end of his life, what he wants is for the people around him to be happy.
He then mentioned that he pushed Hope (Annika Noelle) to go back to Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor). They deserve each other. He lights Hope up and Liam wants that for her again. Steffy reminded him they weren’t exactly a “dream team” and went to rebuke his plan, but when Liam’s head started throbbing, Steffy backed off. Instead she turned the topic to Liam coming clean with his other ex-wife. Hope deserves to know the truth.

Liam outright refused to tell anyone else in his life that he’s sick. He can’t tell Hope without Beth finding out. Steffy tried to get him to see the light but Liam wasn’t budging. This was HIS life, HIS sickness, and HIS decision to make. For now, at least, this needs to stay under wraps and that’s that.
Instead of concentrating on the news of his death, he’s making it his mission to bring together his daughter’s families while he’s alive. Steffy and Liam then took a walk down Memory Lane (cue a series of flashbacks). Looking back on those big moments had Steffy in a puddle of tears. She simply can not lose the father or her daughter.

Over at the Logan estate, Carter asked Hope for a second chance. Don’t give up on us, Hope. Hope reminded him that SHE was not the one who gave up. She reminded him of his big time betrayal and how it made her feel…and what it cost her. Carter promised to make it right. He vowed to fix things and reiterated that he was sorry and that he missed her. In fact, he doesn’t just miss her – he needs her. His life is incomplete without her in it.
As nice as all that is, Hope wasn’t falling all over herself quite yet. She opened up about missing him and all the great things they shared, but she can’t forget about all the awful things too. She gave her heart to him and trusted him with her future and look how that turned out? How can she believe it will be different this time? Carter promised he’s worth the risk and said he’d give her as much time as she needs.
Love Me Forever
Also seeking a second (or hundredth chance) was Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang). Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) may be with Taylor (Rebecca Budig) but she was sure he was till devoted to her. She got nice and close while flattering her ex to no end and asking him to open his heart and come back to her. Ridge wasn’t bending, though, he pushed back and reminded her that he’s a very taken man and asked her to change the subject.
Of course, Brooke wasn’t about to get off her soapbox. She kept close to him, stroking his chest, and whispering sweet nothings in his ear. For a hot second, it looked like her seduction plan was working but Ridge pulled away. As much as he loves their history…and her…he’s not going back on his word to Taylor. He’s not going to let Taylor down. Not now, not ever (sure).
