The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Friday, May 2 saw Finn deliver more bad news, Liam giving sound advice, and Carter going after the woman he loves.
What Happened Today On Bold and the Beautiful?
Over at the hospital, Finn (Tanner Novlan) got an update from Dr. Buckingham and informed Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) that unfortunately, there was no hope. Soon, they would lose Liam (Scott Clifton). Steffy worried for Liam, for herself, for the children, and even for Hope (Annika Noelle). It really put the feud between them into perspective. She can’t picture a life without him and was desperate for more time with him. Finn felt the same. It’s unfortunate his mass was in a place that they can’t remove.
Steffy didn’t think it was fair that so many people were still in the dark, especially Hope. As the mother of his other daughter, she deserved to know. But, was it their place to tell Liam’s secret? Finn wasn’t so sure.

Let Him Love You
Meanwhile, back at the Cliff House, Liam encouraged Hope (Annika Noelle) to open her heart and give Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) another chance. Hope commented about being single and happy but Liam knew better. Love was always worth the risk, even if it means getting hurt. Carter makes her happy and he’s trying to make things right. He outright told Hope to message Carter back and let him love her.
Soon enough, Hope left and Steffy came in just in time to watch Liam struggle to open his meds. He admitted he has yet to inform his ex-wife that he’s dying. It just wasn’t the right time. Hope needs help…with her love life and that’s what he wanted to concentrate on. Something normal. Something easy. Something bright.
Are The Tides Turning?
As for Carter, he was at the office whining with Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) about Hope’s absence around the office. Carter missed her more and more each day. It didn’t feel right to be working without her. Before long, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) came in and the pair tag teamed him to try to get Hope her job back. They argued her side and practically begged for the Forresters to give her another chance. Ridge balked, though. Hope refused to take accountability and therefore did not deserve her job or her line.
Carter took off to see her and Brooke took over advocating for her daughter. Tensions began to rise as she argued Hope’s case and when things got too heated, she changed directions to reminding him about her showstopper moment. She was sure seeing her in the Portofino dress reminded him of a better time between them. She sees a light at the end of the tunnel, does he? (Cue a series of Bridge flashbacks.)

All the while, Carter turned up at the Logan estate to finally see Hope face to face. Hope congratulated him on the fashion show success and Carter remarked it didn’t feel right without her there. He should have fought harder for her and made sure to protect her from the fallout. It was his biggest regret. He promised he was advocating for her now and Hope mentioned what Liam said about forgiveness. Hope surprised him by admitting the coup was wrong and she understood why he did what he did. That was all it took for them to hug it out.
