The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Wednesday, May 14 saw Carter wishing for more and Liam wishing everything was different.
What Happened Today On Bold and the Beautiful?
Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) came upon Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) in the design room reminiscing about Hope (Annika Noelle). The discussed how empty the office feels without Hope. Hurting her is his biggest regret. He should have walked out with her. Brooke tried to assure him all would eventually be well. She believed in him and his love for Hope. She even told him she stuck up for him with Deacon (Sean Kanan).

A Plan for Peace
Back at the Cliff House, Finn (Tanner Novlan) assured Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) she did the right thing. Hope deserved to know Liam (Scott Clifton) and it was unfair to keep her in the dark. Steffy cried about her broken heart and for Hope’s. Finn and Steffy agreed she needed to be there for Hope and Hope needed to be there for her. They’d need to ban together to get themselves and their daughter’s through this loss.
Steffy decided to face the music and talk to Liam and was surprised to hear he wasn’t home. She worried he’d be over with Hope and learn what she did before she could tell him herself. And, she was right.
Tears and Tragedy
Meanwhile, at the Logan estate, Liam figured out Steffy told Hope about his illness and confirmed that yes, he is dying. Hope cried a sea of tears. As did Liam who was upset with Steffy for spilling his secret but Hope shut that down. She’s grateful for Steffy coming to her and promised to be there for Liam until the bitter end.

Liam opened up about how he collapsed, was found by Steffy, and all that led up to his diagnosis. And, being told there was nothing anyone can do. Hope simply refused to accept that. Someone, somewhere must have answers. Liam wished there was but alas, his life will soon be cut short. He’ll miss out on watching his daughters grow…and miss out on the life he and Hope could have had.
Of course, Liam being Liam, he couldn’t help but find the silver lining. Yes, he’s dying, but just look at how much he has to live for until then…and the full life he’s already lived. Sure, he’s upset he won’t get to do all the things he’s always wanted, but he’s been very blessed with all the experience he’s had.
