B&B spoilers recap for September 22, 2022, brings a shocking announcement from Taylor Hayes that leaves Brooke Logan Forrester reeling.
Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) warned Taylor (Krista Allen) to make her daughter, Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) stop interfering in her marriage to Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye). Taylor still acted like Steffy might not have even kept Brooke from talking to Ridge. However, Brooke insisted that’s precisely what happened.

Then, Brooke declared that she and Ridge are each other’s destiny. Taylor didn’t look convinced, and she even went so far as to tell Brooke that she didn’t feel that Brooke made Ridge happy. Of course, Brooke sneered at that declaration.
Then, Brooke took Taylor to task for kissing Ridge in Monaco. Taylor didn’t really have an excuse for her behavior, but she insisted that she kissed Ridge back, and Brooke admitted she could understand how they were overcome after finding out Steffy’s husband was alive. Ultimately, though, Taylor apologized to Brooke for kissing Ridge. Brooke didn’t want to believe her rival, though.
Even so, Taylor said she didn’t want to hurt Brooke, but she admitted that she loved Ridge and always will. Taylor waxed poetic about how Ridge made her feel — so perfectly understood — and she suggested Brooke must feel the same way, but Brooke looked a bit surprised. However, she said she did because Ridge was her husband. Taylor pointed out that Ridge loves both of them for different reasons. Then she laid out the fact that Ridge is desperately trying to decide whether he wants to stay in his marriage with Brooke or move on to a new life with her.
Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) tried to talk to Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle) about her argument with Steffy. Hope shut her down, though, noting that she knew Paris was friends with both of them, and she didn’t want to get into the whole thing.
Then, Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) walked in. Hope asked to talk with him alone, and Paris made herself scarce. She confronted Thomas about Steffy’s behavior, and Thomas stuck up for his sister. He pointed out that Brooke had hurt Ridge — repeatedly. Of course, Hope pointed out that Ridge had also hurt Brooke — repeatedly.
They didn’t want to fight, though, and Thomas quoted some Shakesphere, which Hope finished. They smiled, and he pointed out that if Romeo and Juliet could figure things out (but did they?), then so could they. Of course, Romeo and Juliet also died in the end.
Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) showed up at the restaurant, and Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) saw her. He’d already finished eating, but when he found out she was alone, he offered to eat together. Li was happy to have Bill join her. He complimented her on having faith in Finn’s (Tanner Novlan) recovery. Li apologized for not telling Steffy her husband was alive, but Bill encouraged her to stop beating herself up about it.
Bill also noted that Li looked great and said she’d come a long way from the woman he’d found in the ally. She said she was a whole different woman and thanked him again for what he did for her family. Then, Bill turned on the charm and let Li know what an attractive vibrant woman she was, and she seemed receptive to his advances.
