B&B Recap: Staying Power
Slowly but surely Katie (Heather Tom) learned of the epic downward trajectory that Eric’s (John McCook) health has taken. First there were the hand tremors, followed by the coughing fits, then the blood. And now he’s been given six months to live. Maybe less.
Donna (Jennifer Gareis) cried that she’d missed the comfort being offered by her sister and Katie floated the idea of cluing Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) in. But that was a no-go. Eric didn’t want anyone else in the family to know, and she didn’t want to upset him by going rogue. She was bound and determined to do what was best for Eric.

Eric appeared and guessed from Katie’s torrent of tears that she knew everything. After crying all over Eric — forcing him to comfort her — Katie argued that Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) should be apprised. Nope, not going to happen. And besides, Eric’s not planning on dying very soon. He’s saying to Hell with his doctor and his diagnosis in the same way that Katie did when she was told she couldn’t bear a child because of her ticker.

And not only isn’t he kicking the bucket in the near future, but Eric’s going to win that fashion showdown. He’s got to. Forrester Creations is in a precarious position, what with Ridge getting too big for his britches — and far too enamored of edgy and trendy couture. His son doesn’t respect what he wants to do. He’s not taking care of Eric’s legacy. And Eric’s going to right that wrong. Mark his words!
The Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Stuck In The Middle
Though he very nearly slipped and confessed all, RJ (Joshua Hoffman) merely told Ridge and Brooke that Eric was more determined than ever to create a collection. It’s as if his life depended on it. (Get it?)
Once alone with Luna (Lisa Yamada), RJ unloaded. What if his secret-keeping affects his relationship with his dad? After all, he’d be pissed to find out that someone knew that Ridge and Brooke were ailing and didn’t tell him. What if he’s robbing Ridge of precious time that could/should be better spent with Eric? If he had it his way, RJ would tell Ridge the truth.
B&B Recap: MINE!
Having learned that he had his bestie Carter’s (Lawrence Saint-Victor) vote, Ridge grumbled to Brooke that he must win the fashion showdown. It’s unhealthy that Eric wanted to be back in the spotlight. He’s got to keep him out of the CEO’s chair. Eric should be out there enjoying his life, maybe mentoring. But he’s not coming back to FC. Not if Ridge has anything to say about it.
