Rebecca Budig Hints at Taylor and Ridge’s Future on Bold and the Beautiful

Although Taylor and Ridge aren’t together anymore, the chemistry remains between the exes. The couple has tried to reunite on The Bold and the Beautiful many times, but it ends in disaster. But could Taylor’s recent return lead to a successful Tridge reunion?

Better Off As Friends

Taylor (Rebecca Budig) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) were considered one of the show’s super couples. However, their relationship was plagued by many problems, including Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang). For three decades, Taylor and Brooke have fought for Ridge’s heart. Even when Taylor and Ridge were married, Brooke didn’t stop competing for him.

Ridge made matters worse by waffling between the two women. Whenever he vowed to be with Taylor, he dumped her for Brooke. Taylor had enough after their failed 2022 wedding, followed by Bridge’s reunion. She realized the fighting was worth it and to let Ridge and Brooke live their life.

Change of Heart?

Did Taylor change her opinion during her recent absence? In an interview with Soaps In Depth, Rebecca Budig discussed the possibility of a Tridge reunion now that Taylor’s returned.

“Taylor loves Ridge,” Budig reveals. “They’re great friends. She realizes that he’s with Brooke, so she’s not after him in any sort of romantic way. I just think that he’s a good support for her.”

Although Budig says that a Tridge reunion isn’t on the way, that might not be true. Last week’s revelation that Taylor is dying of heart failure could kickstart a reunion between the exes. When Ridge learns of Taylor’s illness, he’ll be devastated. He’s losing his ex-wife, friend, and mother of his children.

He’ll do anything to make her final moments happy, including possibly marrying her. But this won’t make Brooke happy, especially if Taylor miraculously survives. Then Ridge will be in a conundrum as he decides which woman’s heart he will break.
