The Bold and the Beautiful recap for September 21-25, 2020, features Liam casting aspersions – at least in the eyes of a clearly unhinged Steffy.
He yelled. He screamed. He stamped his feet and clapped his hands and even shook her. But try as he might, Liam (Scott Clifton) just couldn’t seem to wake Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).
When she finally did come around, Liam quickly realized the error of his ways. This version of Steffy was both heady and combative and slow to take in her surroundings. Liam deduced that his ex was still on some type of prescription medication but Steffy poo-pooed the notion…until Liam located her stash of pills.
When confronted with her lie, Steffy copped to taking one, maybe two pills, and crashing on the couch. She needed a nap. Badly. So sue her! But Liam was certain there was more to the story.
So certain, in fact, that he bundled up Kelly and took her back to the cabin that he and Hope (Annika Noelle) call home. Once he settled the little one, Liam turned to his lover and to Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), informing them that Steffy had devolved into a full-blown addict.
It was a claim that both women found hard to believe. But they had to admit to the statistics. Every person prescribed an opioid painkiller is susceptible to the risk of growing dependent on them.
Enter Steffy. A clearly disturbed, ranting, and raving Steffy. A Steffy who had convinced herself that not only had Liam absconded with her child, but that he did so in order to allow Hope the opportunity to steal yet another Forrester offspring.
Steffy warned her rival that she wouldn’t be able to stake a claim on Kelly…she’d have to be satisfied with having added “Phoebe” and Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri) to her family.
Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) arrived on the scene, received a briefing from all parties concerned, and did his utmost to talk his daughter round. But Steffy wasn’t prepared to cede custody of her daughter.
What she was prepared to do, was inflict physical harm on anyone who got in her way. And since she’d brought a switchblade to the party, and no one else could produce a gun, she seemed in a good position to achieve her goal.
Luckily, Ridge’s plea for reason seemed to bring Steffy to her senses. At least momentarily. She dropped the weapon and made a beeline for the exit. But she also vowed to never forgive anyone involved in the sordid saga.
Did anyone actually buy Thomas’s (Matthew Atkinson) apology to Zoe (Kiara Barnes)? How about his insistence that he actually did have feelings for her? No? It’s not just us? Good. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
