The Bold and the Beautiful recap for May 18-22, 2020, features a retrospective of “the final word in sexy sophistication, the quintessential woman of the millennium, the one, the only, the fabulous Brook Logan.”
In the simplest terms, Brooke Logan is an “incredible woman from the Valley who always follows her heart…no matter what the consequences.” She’s also a character known for “her passion for life, [and] her passion for the loves of her life.” And lord knows she had A LOT of lovers.
And she actually married quite a few of them. But, surprisingly, only two episodes were devoted to Brooke’s (multiple) weddings. Well, the first actually concerned her honeymoon with husband number one, Eric Forrester – viewers had already been treated to the wedding itself two weeks prior.
But the episode that aired on Thursday, May 21st, was completely devoted to her ceremony with Dominick “Nick” Maroni, Ridge’s half-brother. During his vows, Nick said he was certain that Brooke was “it” for him…while across town, Stephanie promised Ridge that it would only be a matter of time before he would be reunited with the love of his life.
And indeed he was. But only after they endured a few more heartaches – and a few more weddings…and divorces. And one major recast. (Goodbye Ronn Moss and hello Thorsten Kaye!)
Now Ridge number two swore that if could win Brooke back (and he had his work cut out for him since they were currently estranged due to him abandoning her on her honeymoon because she hid the fact she received a text from Deacon Sharpe) he’d never let her go. Maybe Eric should remind him of that sentiment, yes? Shauna Fulton who?
And if there are two things we gleaned from this weeks look back at all things Brooke, it’s that she’s a lady who doesn’t like to be tested and you should NEVER count her out.
When Taylor insulted her plans to launch an “intimates line” with Ridge as head designer, Brooke staged a raucous fashion show with herself as the lead model. Taylor was sure her rival was self-destructing and absolutely “finished.” (And Stephanie just wanted her to put some damn clothes on.)
But, history would prove that only was Brooke far from down and out, but her lingerie would become a sellout product that helped stuff the Forrester Creations coffers and keep it chugging along for another decade or so. Say what you want about Miss Logan, but she is one hell of a businesswoman!
Ridge: “What are you standing out in the cold for?” Brooke: “Well…I was too nervous to go in there. You know, Stephanie and my track record being up here in the cabin…” Yeah, the Big Bear cabin holds a lot of memories for Brooke. Not only were two of her children (Bridget and Hope) born there, but it was also the location of her near-death experience which came at the hands of a strangle-happy Stephanie!
Brooke: “I was wondering when somebody was going to bring that up…letting your wife go to prison for what she did to Jackie.” Stephanie: “Wait! Why doesn’t anyone believe my version of that story? Why?” The story that Stephanie referred to concerned a confrontation that she engaged in with Jackie Maroni that ended with the woman tumbling over the Forrester mansion balcony.
Ridge: “If we do this retail plan, it will bankrupt us.” Retail plan or no retail plan, bankruptcy (or near enough) was in the cards for the House of Forrester. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
