The Bold and the Beautiful recap for April 13-17, 2020, features many on the canvas – particularly Flo Fulton – realizing the folly of their ways.
The Bold and the Beautiful Recap Highlights
Flo (Katrina Bowden) is currently suffering from an all-to-common aliment: buyers remorse. Sure, it was her idea to invite the terminally ill Sally (Courtney Hope) into the beach house that she shares with Wyatt (Darin Brooks) – and then retreat to her personal apartment – but that was weeks ago and she had been assured that Sally would be dead by now.
But, it turns out that the fatal diagnosis that Sally was given – you know, the one that was going to result in her death one month hence – was all a scam perpetrated by the “patient” herself.
Flo rightfully smelled a rat, and she was sure that there’s something fishy going on with Dr. Penny Escobar (Monica Ruiz) – surely it’s no coincidence that Penny has an interest in design and she’s treating a woman who just so happens to be a well-connected designer.
For her part, Penny was also feeling the pinch. She thought that helping an old acquaintance pretend to die would be a lark and she was sure she’d have a plum job at a fashion house once everything was said and done.
But now, everything started getting far too complicated. Flo was breathing down her neck, Sally was refusing to play-act her miraculous recovery and nobody was complimenting her sketches.
Flo Knows
And now that Flo was skulking around her office and illegally pouring over Sally’s medical records, it’s only a matter of time before poor Penny finds herself out of a job and in prison beside her pal – perpetuating a fraud is illegal after all.
But Flo and Penny are far from the only ones suffering the ill effects of their actions. Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) spent a sleepless night agonizing over the fact that Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) had abandoned her for Shauna (Denise Richards).
Likewise, Shauna wised up and helped the friendly Forrester pilot load a totally bombed Ridge into the family plane and sent him on his merry way – and she even phoned the love of her life to inform them him that their night of Vegas revelry wouldn’t be repeated…ever again!
BB Musings
Flo to Ridge: “Do you think that you love Brooke too much? …Over the years, your relationship has been very tumultuous…You’ve been back and forth, back and forth, and back and forth, and I just don’t know if a relationship should be that much of a struggle.”
First, Shauna, that was a fair point, well made. Thank you for continuing to be the sole voice of reason on the canvas. Secondly, no one ever said that being the preeminent supercouple of this soap was easy. It IS a struggle. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
