Prince Albert of Monaco Tests Positive for Coronavirus

Prince Albert of Monaco, son of late movie star Grace Kelly who was socializing with The Bold and the Beautiful stars just a few weeks ago, has taken a test for the coronavirus.

The Coronavirus Hits Prince Albert

According to People, Prince Albert, 62, has tested positive for the coronavirus. He is continuing to work from his private palace residence.

Palace sources reveal that the prince tested on Monday morning and the results were confirmed two days later. Prince Albert is father to twins Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella.

Prince Albert is being closely monitored by his personal doctor and specialists from the Princess Grace Hospital Center, which was named after his late mother.

The Bold and the Beautiful Connection

The royal has rubbed elbows with many stars at the annual TV Festival in Monaco, including some of your favorite soap stars from The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless. Last month, stars from YR and BB attended the 60th Anniversary Party For The Monte-Carlo TV Festival at Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood, California.

The Monte-Carlo TV Festival was founded by Prince Albert’s father, Prince Ranier III, in 1961 in Monte Carlo, Monaco. According to the TV Festival’s website, actors, studios, and TV channels gather for several days to promote programs for both the press and the public. The festival also hands out the coveted Golden Nymph Awards. BB won the Best Soap Opera award at the Golden Nymphs in 2012 and 2015.

While Prince Albert is the first Head of State to test positive, he’s not the first royal to do so. Karl von Habsburg, the Archduke of Austria, 59, revealed that he experienced flu-like symptoms more than a week ago.

“It’s annoying, but I’m fine. It’s not the Black Plague,” von Habsburg said. “I thought it was the usual flu. When a friend called me that he had a positive test at a congress in Switzerland, I was also tested.”
