The Bold and the Beautiful: Friends In Love

Recently, Eric (John McCook) went over to Brooke’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) home to comfort her after she’d had yet another fight with Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) over his son Thomas (Matthew Atkinson). It was clear that the two have a long-running friendship that most people in life would love to have.

But the majority of you, over 76%, want it to stay that way. You think a third marriage between Eric and Brooke would be a mistake. She cheated on him once with Ridge. The second union came at a time when Eric was disillusioned with Stephanie (Susan Flannery) and Brooke had been dumped by Ridge. A third would inevitably end, too.

Third Time’s The Charm

Almost 24% of The Bold and the Beautiful fans feel that Eric and Brooke should make another go of it. Eric has always provided Brooke with stability that she’s craved ever since her father, Stephen (Patrick Duffy; Robert Pine), walked out on the family.

Eric is the father of Brooke’s first son (Rick, Jacob Young) and daughter (Bridget, Ashley Jones). They share a history and Brooke feels safe with Eric. Ridge has left Brooke for other women. Eric would likely provide Brooke with some sanity.

Break Up To Make Up

A Ridge/Brooke split is on the horizon whether or not Brooke finds comfort in Eric’s arms. It’s likely that someday the two will find their way back to one another. Perhaps it’s best if Brooke doesn’t break Eric’s heart again. They’re left best as best friends and co-parents to their children. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS.
