Longtime fans of The Bold and the Beautiful know that Sheila Carter began her tirade of terror on sister soap The Young and the Restless. In fact, Sheila’s gone back to Genoa City many times over the years. But she may have taken one less trip there than people realize.

In late 2006, Y&R viewers learned that Sheila was back on the scene. However, she was being played not by Kimberlin Brown but by Michelle Stafford (Phyllis). It turns out that Sheila had had plastic surgery to look just like Phyllis — a woman with whom she’d never shared any screen time.

While the story gave Stafford a platform to step into Sheila’s shoes, it didn’t make sense to some as the two women didn’t even know each other. Y&R wrapped it up by having Lauren (Tracey Bregman) kill “Sheila.” Years later, Sheila, played by Brown, turned up on B&B. Should the two shows team up to resolve this lingering mystery?
